Convention centers, while they do allow for a lot of mats down, generally have all of their seating very low. This means that it's very difficult to see across the area to a mat in the farther row.

Yeah, I do, but when people use all caps it feels like they're yelling, and there's just no need. You could try writing without caps lock and just make the font a size bigger?

I really dont think it matters too much either way where the state duals or the state individual tournament are held, but Memphis has two arenas that are currently not being used for anything. Imagine what the state dual tournament would be like if it was held in the Pyramid.

For Georgia, the state duals will be held in Macon for all five divisions and the traditional state will be held at the Gwinnett Arena. This will be the first time all 5 classifications will be held in the same facility. I can't wait to see the finals run on 5 mats in the middle of the arena.

 

And just my 2 cents, I love Tennessee having the tournament at UTC. It makes it easier for me to come up and watch.

the people running it would probably be overwhelmed. clarksville has hosted it the last 4 or 5 years and they have a clear advantage over others in terms of experience when it comes to the duals tournament. we'll see how it goes this year though with the additional teams, if they can pull it off smoothly and efficiently i say keep it where it's at. same goes for the individuals. i like going to both places personally.

The best thing that we could possible do is to (As said before) to rotate the State duals every year between, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis. Just the 4 biggest cities in Tennessee. But definately keep the traditional in Chattanooga, UTC

As far as the Baylor parents who work this tournament - it is to support the UTC wrestling program. Anyone is welcome to volunteer for the glorious task of running a concession stand if they would like to support the college program.
