Congrats to Coach Bush and the entire Siegel team for an outstanding performance. We were picked # 5 in the District and to be #1 this far into the season is an outstanding testament to great coaching and intense effort by a very young team.

Why would Siegel fans not follow their team to White Co, but go to the Oakland game and NOT support local kids?

People went to the game if they could. Others of us couldn't make it. Tuesday night and whether some of us want to or not, we have to put other things first.

Good Job Siegel..When I heard that score, I had to do a double take. Coach Bush musta had some killer halftime adjustments.

Well, it is more than a monkey. How about an elephant off their back. Roy Sewell gymnasium was the same as it always has been. You walk in the door and the tradition is just there. A gym that the school and county feels a lot about. On the end of the gym are state tournament banners that go back to the 1970's. Yes the reserved seats still ring the floor and residents of White county probably have had those seats for a number of years. Not many teams get out of that gym with a win. That's the way it is and that is the way it has been. Little Siegel, three years old, came into Sparta with some fear but young enough to not know the difference. The last two years have been tough. TK Jones, a senior, did not have her best scoring game but maybe had one of her best overall games having to exhibit a great deal of patience due to being overplayed in every direction. Any other year, that would have been disasterous but she let the supporting cast take over. Siegels Carrie Parrot and White County's Molly McFadden put on a show with parrot having 19 and McFadden having 25. Parrot gets better every game and plays with great confidence. Allison Wright had 14, TJ had 9, and Morgan Faulkner had 8. Certainly Siegel was more balanced in their scoring.Siegel had 8 for 13 free throws. They had 14 turnovers. It was a very good coaching job by Coach Bush and the Staff. McFadden got 18 of her points the first half and defensive adjustments the second half made scoring very difficult. Siegel outscored White County 43 to 24 the last half and White County went without scoring for a period of time.

Siegels focus is very good. They are believing in themselves and they need to keep believing in each other. This can be a very good team.

Good first half. The difference in these two teams is that White co. dosent have a bench that can help.

White County has a very good team. It was not evident that they did not have a bench but what was evident was at inopportune moments the last half, three White County players had to leave the game with sprained ankles. This seemed to take some steam out of the White County attack as it should. Newer players having to enter the game under those conditions seemed to rattle the team. It didn't seem that those players were not skilled players. White County will always have a good team and seemingly have one with a Jolly on it. It just happened that last night, it was a boys player. (See thread Ankle Injuries-Ankle braces)
