I think the more interesting matchup will be the guards from OS (Sampson, Schultz, and Wrinkle) vs The Bulldogs trio of Shannon, Jenkins, Hamby.

I think you are right about that those three, It will be a good match up, but after watching the coafield - Wartburg game last friday I thought that Melton really tried to muscle his way around inside (nothing wrong with that) I don't see that happening with Carter....He never quits. Melton will have a hard time containing him!! and O.S. has the athletes to match up with the Dawgs.... their bench is deep. The best thing for Wartburg not to do is over look O.S. tonight

1st place in the district on the line... Best of luck to both teams

More info.......OS had Carter, starting PG Wrinkle, Schultz foul out with guards Sampson and Johnson injured during the game and could not return. Once Schultz was gone, the Cats had little ball handing experience.

The Bulldog reserves stepped in a held on. Great game, let's do it again soon!!

FYI..Isn't it time Shoemaker retired?

Excellent game. That's the only way to put it. The crowd made the game intense. Adam Carter played brilliantly, hitting almost every shot he took, although he got into foul trouble. Schultz and Carter fouled out, but so did J. Shannon and Melton. Both teams had to play without their key players. Final Score 95-85, Wartburg.

Great game!!! The game went into overtime!! 78-78 I have to say that J. Shannon is absoutley the real deal!! He s a player!! When hes on the floor the game is played differently.... I knew that Adam would have to bring his "A" game tonight and he did. Great game guys, can't wait till the next time these two teams meet!!

Wow thats an incredibly high scoring game. Was there any D played at all? Was it run run run or did both teams just shoot real well?

It was not a lack of defense on either side, J Shannon for Wartburg, made just about every shot he took in the paint, in heavy traffic, and Adam Carter for Oliver Springs, shot lights out from every where he shot from. If Wartburg could have made more foul shots in the first half it might not have been as close, but, they did make them down the stretch in the overtime period. The officiating could have been better, it seemed for the most part, that the game was played at the foul line all night. Both teams played well, Oliver Springs needs to work on inbounding the ball against a press, and I know they missed having Cody West in the lineup (knee injury), it was a great game, look forward to a rematch.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
