Didn't you say the same thing about Region 6 vs Region 5 in football????? You said the only Region 5 team that would advance would be David Lipscomb.

How come west-TN is so great at all sports while the midstate folks are non athletic and terrible??????

And you are the one who said Lexington would get beat in the first round. Actually I never said that, I said the top two from each region would win.

I just want to know...have you ever seen a team from District 11 play basketball?

Catfish you are always blowing smoke. You are biased and it shows.

baseballa - Good post but apparently you didn't take into account last nights game against Bolivar at their house. We had Bolivar for 3 and a half qtrs. Here isi my picks.

Top 10 AA

1. Bolivar Central (18-7)-They have showed why they are the defending AA state champs. They are playing great basketball right now and will only get better come tournament time.

Up Next: Lexington Jan.27th @ Lexington @ Bolivar and #4 Mitchell Jan. 28th @ Curb Event Center in Nashville

2. Liberty (20-2)-This is a third year program that is a real contender for a gold ball come March.

Up Next: #3 Haywood Jan. 28th @ Liberty

3. Lexington (18-5)-Scared the wits out of Bolivar last night at their own house

Up Next: Crockett County

4. Haywood (21-2)-Haywood looks to avenge their early season loss to Liberty and is another team that will be competing for the gold ball.

Up Next: Ripley Jan.27th @ Haywood and #2 Liberty Jan. 28th @ Liberty

5. Mitchell (16-5)-They have had a few injuries but are now healthy and out to let people know they are the truth Saturday against two-time defending state champ Bolivar.

Up Next: Hillcrest Jan. 27th @ Hillcrest and #1 Bolivar Jan. 28th @ Curb Event Center in Nashville

6. Mcminn Central (21-1)-Haven't played a very tough schedule so far but they do have the best record in the state in AA.

Up Next: Boyd Buchanan Jan. 27th @ Boyd Buchanan

7. Austin-East (18-3)-This is a team that has won eight straight games since their loss to #2 Liberty at the Dyersburg X-Mas Tourney.

Up Next: Seymour Jan. 27th @ Seymour

8. Sycamore (17-2)-They have one 10 straight games and look like they are playing great basketball.

Up Next: Montgomery Central Jan. 27th @ MC

9. MLK (10-4)-This team gets little to no recognition as they have beaten teams like AAA Whites Creek and Brainerd. They also beat a good David Libscomb by 18.

Up Next: Ezell-Harding Jan. 27th @ MLK

10. Knoxville Catholic (15-3)-They have two losses to Tennesee teams by a total of 3 points.

Up Next: Kingston Jan. 27th @ Knoxville Catholic

Up Next: #1 Bolivar Jan.27th @ Bolivar

10. Knoxville Catholic (15-3)-They have two losses to Tennesee teams by a total of 3 points.

Catholic does not deserve to be in the top 10. Maybe the top 10 in the East. They have a good record but it doesn't show that their schedule is pretty weak. They have done well in a few tough games but played some weak teams close too. Watching them play, a commanding post presense on defense (and the guy has few offensive skills) and some lucky bankshots have saved this team from losing in a weak district. Austin-East will always be good though, all they need is a better coach, no offense to Coach Mitchell but I think they could do better. Stick Jody Wright in there to teach them defense and AE could compete for state year after year.
