Mitchell vs Bolivar

I think Bolivar is the best team of the two. Chism being out really hurt them in the second half. But who knows how a rematch would turn out. I think a lot has to do with the refs. I think the way the game was officiated tonight was a big benefit to Mitchell and the way they play. I thought the refs let a lot of things go in this game. They let them play pretty physical and I think this helped Mitchell and their pressing style of play. I saw a lot of hand contact and bumping during the game that wasn`t called.

In a rematch they might get a crew that would call it a bit more closely and change the whole game around. I`m not saying these refs did bad. They just allowed a lot more contact than others crews might.

That being said...on Thads infamous third foul...I didn`t get a great look at it, but it seemed a little ticky tac compared to other stuff they had not been calling during the game.

We are going to cancel our season because we can't beat the great Bolivar. They are good and I hurt WC got hurt. Thad had to play very passive because of his fouls. The refs let them play. In the first half Mitchell had a lot more fouls called on them thamn BC. It was a good game and WK is the real deal. So I am going to call the TSSAA and tell them we have no reason to play because the Great Bolivar will destroy us with WC.

1st of all i would like to say thanks to COACHT for the great free seats behind the espnu announcers my grandpa called me back from tullahoma and told me i needed to shave a couple of points in the game

1 willie kemp is the man he played hurt all night he was the star

2 the stat keepers did a terrible job i noticed they changed the score during the delay

3 bolivar defended the wrong end at start of the 2nd half they might of went to overtime if they had their heads screwed on strait

4 chism going out killed bolivar most of the 2nd half until kemp took the game over late

5 that was the best fullcourt press i have ever seen

6 everyone who votes in the AP poll needs their vote striped because mitchell is the best team in AA

Would you take a minute and expalin your feelings on #6 if you feel that way and saw that stuff during the rest of the game? Just does't amke sense to me...I mean I SAW it all but you were RIGHT THERE!

Thanks!

If nothing else, the refs shouldn't have allowed Mitchell's coach to continue carrying on the way he did. That was ridiculous, but apparently somewhat effective. Thad got the foul, but the way it worked out. They sure benefitted from it.

Later this AM I'm going to check the tape to see what b-town was talking about (Not doubting ya b-town). Coach R was pretty closed mouthed in the interview on the radio too. It seems kinda weird, But if we did straight up lose, then I guess that's that

But if we didn't...who knows?

Ahhhh..Galilee I detect a bit of sarcasm there. :thumb:

No doubt Mitchell is very good and is capable of beating a full strength Bolivar team, but this was the first time I saw either team and judging by what I saw llast night I think Bolivar was the better of the two. BTW..I figured you`d probably be there and wanted to meet you so I asked coacht if he knew where you were but he didn`t see you at the time.

here are a few other observations...

The Bolivar fans seem to travel well to support their team. They were out in full force at the state championship last year and had a very good crowd there at Belmont last night.

The Mitchell pep band is awesome. They have a very talented group of young musicians. I really enjoyed listening to them play.

The small Mitchell dance group was talented as well, but almost got a little vulgar at times. There is no way I would ever let my daughter do some of those moves in front of a crowd. :thumb:

Keep in mind too that after the 10 minute fit he threw, and the variuos times he got in the refs face, they kind of let it slide. But Rudisill picked up a tech when he questioned a call, and that allowed Thad to shoot the free throws and Mitchell get the ball back.

I've known Rudesill a long time now. I noticed, alost from the beginning, that 'd never seen him that animated on the court...and comments after really.

I guess he had good reason. I KNEW he did...but it was just so unusual. OK teams...if the way you want to plan your game is to really fire up that guy-this time of year-well go ahead.

It's still kind o strnge how it looked and the wy ythe fefs continued to let it slide...but oh well..Ithink we're bavk to District and then the real deal begins! OK RR-I know-they're ALL the real deal.

That's true.

    • Perhaps it is within the realm of possibility that the comprehension of my discourse, both by yourself and others, may be circumscribed by the boundaries of intellectual acumen. Might one contemplate this notion from such a perspective? Allow me to clarify that my intent does not lean towards disparagement, save for instances where provocation is directed towards myself or the esteemed troupe of the Trousdale County Yellow Jackets who proudly find domicile upon the hallowed grounds of CREEKBANK. In contemplation of the candidates under discussion, it is conjectured that individuals such as Gregory, Woodmore, Vetetoe, Eden, Hackett, and Cothron may emerge as contenders. Regrettably, it is deemed improbable that Shoulders shall express interest in this pursuit. Speculation arises regarding the potential candidacy of BJ West, albeit the implications of familial ties with Lafayette introduce complexities to such a scenario. The enigma of Dr. Clint's deliberations looms large, fraught with the weight of a formidable decision yet to be made.
    • My kind sir, you seem to be lost within the time space continuum having traveled from the 16th Century or you aspire to hide your true intelligence by masking your language with that of the great playwright. You know good and well, your commentary takes your fellow comrades hours to decipher what you are really saying and most of them are likely left questioning whether you have insulted them or find them to be in your favor. I offer you some advice. In my travels through this area of the country, it is best to speak slow and with a twang and you don't annunciate  words to their fullest. Your points will be clear then!  Any names been mentioned around town as Actual Applicants to this job? Seen several post mentioning individuals, but I haven't heard of any of them except for Shoulders. Does he have ties to TC?  Have amy of the other names mentioned ever been in the HC position before?
    • They’re building something special there. They have 4 Varsity games scheduled & 5 JV. They are trying for a 5th Varsity game. Beat them now because they will be good in the future. They are building a football field there I think but the rich pricks of Farragut won’t let them get lights so they are possibly looking at property to build a stadium & field with lights
    • The gustatory amalgamation of succulent pork chops juxtaposed with verdant greens indeed evokes a sensory delight. Clint's narrative, imbued with the ethos of resilience, navigated the tumultuous waters of the 1980s with commendable fortitude. As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity? Are you perchance a luminary within the domain of coaching, endowed with unparalleled wisdom and insight?
