clevelandblueraiderfan
Would this be some Great Ball or What? The Top 4 from 9AAA VS 5AAA I would rather see this than the State Tourny. I know what you mean. That would be a great tourny. I think that they would split the first round, depending on the match-ups. Match-ups based on the way they finished distict tourny. Cleveland(23-7) vs. Beech(18-12) Cumberland Co.(28-4) vs. Mt. Juliet(28-5) Wilson Central(25-6) vs. McMinn Co.(20-10) Smyrna(26-3) vs. Bradley Central(21-9) *teams combine for a record of 189-56 I think district 9-AAA may be a little stronger(they got 3 state ranked teams). I think our district hangs tough though. Edited February 26, 2006 by clevelandblueraiderfan
Guest BBDAD
WELL LISTENED TO THE GAME.THE RADIO ANOUNCER FOR CROSVILLE TALKING ABOUT HOW THE LADY JETS WERE OVER CONFIDENT BEFORE THE GAME I GUESS . JUST PROVES WHAT HAS BEEN SAID ALL SEASON IF REFS GO THERE WAY THERE O.K. IF NOT LOOK WHAT HAPPENS.THIS WAS PROBABLY A GOOD GAME FOR THEM NOW THEY WILL BE PREPARED FOR THE REGION AND MAYBE EVEN THE STATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO BRING THE GAME EVER GAME NOW THERE IS NO PLACE FOR OVER CONFIDENCE WHEN THE GOLD BALL IS WON THEN BRAGGING RIGHTS TAKE EFFECT!!!!!!!!! Just typical of you Lady Buffs Fan--you're screaming about the REFS everytime we hear from you. Although you sure got quiet after that RBS game last week. Our Lady Jets had on OFF night. Shots just weren't falling. Officials weren't great either. BUT, you won't hear us blaming them. It seems funny to me that you have so much time to be concerned about our Lady Jets-I would think you'd be concentrating on the Lady Buffs. Guest BBDAD
Congratulations to the Blue Raiders, District 5AAA Tournament Champs! You were the better team tonight. The Lady Jets could not buy a basket in the first half (If I heard correctly 16%). Even after fighting back to within 2 after being down at one time by I think 17, you were able to hold out for the win. This was an exciting game to watch but we came out on the short end. Great sportsmanship and effort from the kids and coaches on both teams. I am looking forward to next week's games and who knows, we might meet again on Thursday. It is a shame that after this season it will be several years for this classic rivalry to rekindle with the school split in Cumberland next year. Lady Jets, you never gave up and you fought to the end! Even with the mistakes it all boiled down to pretty much one thing, the ball didn't go through the hoop and sometimes that just happens. THE SEASON ISN'T OVER YET! KEEP IT ON. Very classy reply. So nice to have fans that just enjoy excellent basketball. Your remarks are dead on. Cleveland was the better team on Friday night. I have not seen the Lady Jets have a off night like that all year. Your right they couldn't buy a basket. Best of Luck to both teams. Guest BBDAD
Question. When is Cumberland and Stone Gap going to be officially split? What will the approximate sizes of the two schools be? Does that mean that one AAA will become two AA teams? If they become AA teams which District will they put them in? 5AA already has 9 teams and 6AA has about that many. Cumberland County's new school is set to open in the fall. Stone Memorial. Not sure on Division. Lots of things still in question about numbers at each school.

[/quot Excuse me, I was in attendance at the game. I think my post said Cumberland County's game was off. I didn't blame the lose on the REFS at all. I have no idea what the announcer said on the radio. I would suppose when you are live on the air you'd be grasping for some explanation. I don't think he speaks for the fans-his opinion is what you heard. I don't think you will hear Cumberland County Fans blaming the lose on the refs. We will leave that for your fans! Cumberland is staying AAA and the new school will become AA. A majority of this years team will be at the AA school. Great game by both teams! There should be a round 4. This is a great district the only district in the state possibly better is the one with Wilson Central and Smyrna.
