Well Waynesboro's fans are going to be crazy tonight...so if yall want to see a great game on the court and a fun time in the stands this is the game to come to!!...time for a lil HOME COOKING!!

 

 

Summertown win championship by 13, pretty much controlled the game from the start.

 

Just wondering if the home cooking had started yet or the fun in the Waynesboro's stands.

yeah congrats to s'town on their victory tonight. Wayne County couldn't hit a shot and s'town didn't miss. but maybe we will see each other at reg.

no pretty boy sighting tonight.

 

S'town played one of their best games, if not the best, of the season. Defense was tight in the first half on both ends.

 

S'town was able to knock down their shots, while WC struggled from the floor.

 

S'town built a double digit lead late in the 3rd and threatened to put it away. WC climbed back to within 6-7 in the 4th on some 3's. But on this night the Eagles were just too good.

No pretty-boy sightings -

 

The teams swapped baskets thru most of the 1st period, then the Eagles went up by 5 on a pair of free throws and a trey at the buzzer - to hold a 17-12 lead at the end of the first. Wayne County would never recover. Summertown would outscore them 11-6 in the second, to hold a 28-18 lead at the half, and 13-7 in the third to hold a 41-25 lead at the end of the third. Wayne Co. would get 3 treys to open the 4th, cutting the lead to 7 (43-36) but a S'town timeout stopped that run and the Eagles pushed the lead back to 16 (59-43) within the final minute. A Wayne County trey in the final 10 seconds set the final score at 59-46.

I am from Wayne Co. and I love our crowd (whenever they actually get into the games), but Summertown fans really brought IT. Wayne Co. fans only stood up when we done something good or even got close to catching up, but Summertown fans stood up and yelled the whole entire time, but I do honestly love our crowd...maybe next time guys! Summertown just needs to be ready for a rematch and see what Wayne Co. is all about in regions!!
