I've been telling people all year about how Bolivar travels. They fully suport their basketball team....where ever Bolivar plays you are going to see a sea green.

And it will still be that way after Willie and Wayne leave.

I agree Bolivar travels very well. I went to school at McNairy and remember when i was in junior high Bolivar dropped down from AAA to AA. They have been in our district ever since. They have always had great fan support. Not only have they had great fans, they have had some pretty good ball players as well. Ashley Champion, Rashad Smith, Cameron Crisp, Nick Bearegaurd, James McNeal and Brian Lake to name a few "no disrespect to whoever i left off, these are just a few i could think of from the top of my head." I really don't see a drop off anytime soon either. Outside of Willie, Wayne, and Jerry Griffin, they are very young. Bolivar has just two juniors on the roster, and only one of them plays much. They love their tigers in Bolivar.

I agree. I remember all those guys (taught most of 'em-all but one and knew him-great players and great young men) and I wouldn't want to name all of the rest of 'em either! :P

I don't know if there will be a little rebuilding-or how much next year...but Rudesill still has some horses for next year anyway! And a few more upcoming.

But I hope these guys can get their goal this year!

You'd have a huge post if you tried to name every good ball player from Bolivar....or Harderman County for that matter. I dont know whats in the water in that county, but Bolivar and Middleton put out good or great teams every year.

Great post teams from this area like Bolivar Haywood Middleton and whoever is playing well in Jackson which right now Liberty has that on lock has great fan support because highschool basketball is sometimes all we have that we are good at football teams down hear are'nt as good as middle and east tenn. as for memphis there are so many schools that fans are split take the AA championship last year Ralegh Eygpt as well as Ridgeway in AAA had very little fan support I guess its more going on in M-Town so people from Memphis just dont make that trip to the Boro

Tomcatfan,

Yes, I was with him, I was the one wearing the black hat. You all have a very good team. JV is one of the best shot blockers that I have seen in high school basketball since Lorenzen Wright. I wonder why CC kept taking the ball to him. That just allowed him to pad his stats. I am hoping that we win out and do not have to travel to Brownsville. If we advance on Thu., we will be there Friday night.

Galilee,

In all honesty we dont want to have you travel to Brownsville. We certainly do not want to have to travel to Memphis. So I hope that both of us win out and see each other in Murfreesboro. Even though we beat you guys last year to make it to Murfreesboro, we dont want to have to play you at this time of year. We know your team is hungry and talented so we will see you Friday. Jarvis is one of the best shot blockers that I have seen. He has unbelievable timing and gets up quick. He is becoming more of an intelligent shot blocker. He challenges alot of shots and thats as good as a block a lot of times. He also has been playing good position defense too. He rotates and takes charges and gets alot of weak side help blocks. CC was like many teams we have played this year and wanted to challenge him only to get rejected.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
