Grace vs. Pickett County

Whats the scouting report on Pickett County?

I have seen both of these teams play, Pickett has a very good, smart point guard and two very fundamentally sound posts. However i don't think they have the firepower to hang with Grace. I'll take Grace by 14

Pickett's record is deceiving because 4 of their losses are to Clay Co. 2 were close, one a blow out and one was close until free throws put Clay up by 13 and they won by 10. Pickett split with Van Buren Co., and split with Jackson Co. The other 2 losses were to AA Livingston and to Clinton Co., Kentucky. Last year Pickett's senior team blew Grace out by 20 at Pickett, but with 4 sophomores and a junior, I think Pickett is a year away. I think they'll give Grace a good game and the fans will come out in force. Last year at Grace Pickett had as many fans as Grace. Pickett has beaten two of the sectional teams...they beat Wartburg and East Robertson at ER.

With 4 sophomores and a junior they are about 2 years away...trust me

Have you seen them or are you saying that from just knowing there are 4 sophs and a junior? Since they made substate this year...and could possibly make the state this year, there's not a whole lot more they can do other than go all the way next year. They certianly aren't going to fall off. Pickett has gone to the state several times with young teams and will do it again.

This game seems to me like it will be kinda one sided Grace is just to tough for pickett to handle Grace will win it easily by 18 points. I feel that Grace has a very good chance at winning the state this year.

not to worry pickett this person isn't exactly a great prognasticator. i remember last week he missed every game in the region 4a tourney. now i do really like your chances.

This game is Grace's. I could be wrong, but in my opinion I highly doubt Grace is going to lose this game. I feel they have beaten better teams this year. The outcome is up to them.I'm gonna say some of it is up to Eldridge and here is why (same goes for Seth Skogen)....

 

When Eldridge is hitting shots, Grace plays better and will come out with the win. Eldridge vs. Temple in the District Champ. wasn't his best night. He wasn't hitting as much as he usually does, but he still made some shots. Now, this past Fri night he could have shot it out of his bum and it would have gone in.

 

I think with Grace being successful in McGilvary this year they will pull the win off on Mon. Good luck to them and my boys Temple.

If Pickett can slow the pace of the game and get Grace into foul trouble early on then Pickett has achance to win but if Grace gets on them early then it will be a long night for the Bobcats as far as predictions go ill just let the teams settle this one.

I havent got to see Grace play yet,but i believe that if they are as good as everyones says then it will be a tough night for the Cats.I believe that if the Cats come out in full force as they have before that they will have a very good chance of winning this game.Good Luck Cats!!
