So, Flatcreek, I need some education. Does Memphis Northside have the same inside game as Wilson Central, or are you saying that they will run them out of the gym? If they can run Wilson Central and control the game with guard play then you may be right. Two of the posts for Wilson Central were "spent" in the third quarter of the Mt. Juliet game for that very reason. If the pace had remained the same for the fourth quarter, I think the outcome would have been different.

 

Having said that, if the game goes to a half court set then Northside will be playing Wilson Central's game. I don't think there are any teams that can match up with them in the post with 6'2", 6'2" and a 5'11" banger who plays wide and strong.

 

Doesn't look to me that you need an education. You said exactly what I meant to. When I said "Run out" I meant using a very fast transition game. However, it seems I recall WC working the transition well also. Anyway you said exactly what I meant to say. Half court game WC rules, run 'n gun game IF they hit the shots Northside takes it. But I don't believe there is ANY game in AAA classification that is going to be a blow out. All concerned, the coaches and players are too good. Additionally, all are recent state tourney veterans with the exception of Hillsboro. Shelbyville has the only inside game that can play with WC, I believe. But that matchup is WAAAAAAY to far ahead to speak of. We have our hands full with Ridgeway. If we don't bring the "A" game it'll be our last this season.

After talking to respected basketball coaches and journals..I am concern about the Shelbyville-Ridgeway game. Ridgeway has two DivI signess and are very talented. Most of the folks I have talked to, including MTSU staff feels Shelbyville will have a rough time.

Yeah, Shelbyville's terrible this year. We only have one D1 signee........... we're slow, can't shoot and our shorts fit funny.

Oh and our student section is older than most.
