All of these teams looked good, of the top sixteen, Knox Central's Candice Erwin looked very good but the team was put out by Riverdale with Cat on the mound. Erwin injured her hand somehow during the game. Blackman's hitting looked good , despite being put out by Brentwood: they hit two out of the park during the game. It is not advisable to throw change ups to the third and forth hitter in their line up. Mt Juliet looked very good but was put out by Soddy. I dont know who is pitching for Mt. Juliet but the team looked good.

Of the top eight, Soddy looked strong but Waters was no match for St. Benedict hitters as they scored 7 runs in the match up. Some sort of parent problem erupted during this game causing police to be called and parent(s) to be escorted from the park.

Hendersonville held its own against powerhouses in pool play and in bracket play. KK did well but this team really showed up as they have several young ladies who are excellent hitters.

Beech's Lauren looked good pitching , problems erupted when she wasnt as is what happened when they suffered a defeat from Brentwood.

Beech's game against Riverdale was exciting as she was matched up against a pitcher for Riverdale I do not know. Beeches hitters fared very well, Riverdales defense looked great, but Beech still managed a run across the plate. Riverdale had some good hits as well, just couldnt score.

Brentwoods bats finally came around at the end of the tournament. I saw a lot of great hits but it wasnt enough. Julie, pitching for Brentwood did a great job pitching the final game against St. Benedict but the final score ended up being 4 to 1.

Two errors did not help Brentwood and one great hit from the larger of the two pitchers from St. Benedict which resulted in one of the runs really hurt. The batting line up for St. Benedict is very strong. They hit the ball well in the last game. Their short stop is excellent as is the rest of their defense and their pitching looked fine.

I got a chance to watch a couple of pool games and bracket games. Riverdale was very impressive. Good pitching and good bats. I agree with other posts that St. Benedict was killing the ball. Hendersonville impressed me too with their ability to move runners and take extra bases.
