Will Travis McKnight be back from Iraq to coach the football team at Spring Hill this upcoming fall OR will Howard B. Stone (or possibly someone else) serve as an interim coach again this season??????????

The Raiders are a team that could potentially be dangerous this year at the 3A level with some sort of stability on the sidelines ;)

I had heard this also. Don't know if it is true or not

I should say that it is time for the RAIDERS to have a good season. The last great season they had was 1998 when my son was a JUNIOR. I wish them well and I know Coach Stone and Coach McKnight will appreciate your support. They play in a great region with a lot of talent.

Im not trying to be negative but I've noticed the SH hasnt been that great in years. What happened to the program? I played against SH when they were 1A in the late 80's. They had lots of talent then. They always seemed to win alot of games. I havent seen anything out of them in a while.

Last year they had size up front, a very athletic quarterback who could sling it, receivers who could catch it, and when healthy a breakaway running back that could take it to the house on any given play. They were young last year and I'll predict right now that if Spring Hill misses the playoffs this upcoming season then it won't be because they lack talent on the offensive side of the football.

    • They've had some great talent over the years. They usually don't whip no one but can be tough to stop on offence.
    • Could be a lot of reason from what I’ve seen so far.  The lights wouldn’t turn on at Smyrna last night and had to move games to Blackman could be a reason or maybe he is talking about how on some of the games on NFHS network the camera placement was absolutely asinine. ( had a camera set up right in front of a net and couldn’t see crap)
    • If Gordonsville can manage getting through these next 2 games without using him it will be ideal. ER was the last team to not have to pitch their #1 till the state championship i believe. Worked out well for them but they also had one of the best 1A staffs of all time that year. Only allowed one run the whole tournament and it was in the 7th inning.
    • And he’s not even their #1. Lights out performance. Gordonsville is in the drivers seat with their #1 arm available throughout the tournament.
    • Close, after watching today I will take Alcoa and Meigs in the winers bracket games.
