bhs120
it was the fielding....the scoreboard after the 3rd inning for Anderson was 6 runs on no hits with 5 bruin errors
napoleon8
I think you could say that Brentwoods early success could be because of new assistant coach and former player, Seth Williams. I heard that he could soon be climbing the ranks of coaching and could be offered a head coaching job somewhere in possibly the near future

bhs120
Coach Waggoner doesn't really deserve much credit at all....sure he may have coached at Brentwood forever but some of his decisions are very questionable. Everyone knows he loves the small ball, but that doesnt always work especially when you are doing it with your cleanup hitter with runners on 1st and 2nd with zero outs.....let's just see how far his players take him this year
fhsbball4
I heard brentwood lost to centennial last night after having an undefeated district record
k zone
IMO - Brentwood will finish 4th or 5th in district 11aaa. Behind Ravenwood, Overton, Franklin HS and maybe Hillsboro Brentwood finished 2nd in the district behind overton

webcoach
Lipscom-grad, The fat lady has not yet sung. The district tournement is for all the marbles. Ravenwood can still win the district tourney, if they can put three good games together. that may be a tall order for them. Their pitching staff has not lived up to their billing and their fans cry more than most two year olds. Overton has heart but they are beatable. With the exception of a couple hitters they are not a good hitting team. If Ricky could have thrown against his own team this year it could have been his only no hitter. Franklin can hit but they have a hard time throwing strikes. They had a few games where the pitcher walked and/or hit more batters in one game, than the better pitchers walk all season. This team scores a lot of runs but then again they have to to win. Got to hand it to Brentwood, they are better than expected. The Burgess brothers and the seniors have stepped up this year. Coach Waggnor's got a lot of experience, he knows how to win high school district games and if the other teams coach doesn't watchout he'll out coach them. That happens a lot. Waggoner moves runners and he's not afraid to pull a pitcher at the hint of trouble. (They have a good assistant coach too) This year district tournement is going to hard to predict. Whoever the winners are in the district tournement, I hope they can make it to the State Tournement and represent the 11 aaa district well.
