MUST MULTIPLE MAGNETS

How on earth can a school be open for only 3 years and put together a program that wins the AA State Championship in basketball. Did this occur with players that are zoned to the school. I think not. They are not recruiting, they are MAGNETICALLY attracting the top athletes. We must multiply before this unfair ATTRACTION becomes too strong of a force.

just as the one school magnetically attracted a load of talented boys basketball players, the other one magically accumulated a mess of talented girls.

 

what jackson needs now are magnets for football and baseball....

As long as no rules are broken I guess you can move around and

play wherever. Example a kid can play at Chester County for 2 years,

transfer to a middle tn private school and play on team not sanctioned

by TSSAA and then show up at lets say... Liberty in Madison cty

and be able to play this year. Talk to folks in Chester Cty and

his mom still lives in Chester cty. Now if this is true ( I said if)

they must have found a way to make him eligible in Madison Cty,

therefor no rules broken . It's been going on all over the state

for years and will continue. Public, private and magnet.

You aren't the only one. It's just that private school detractors don't want to hear that ... until private schools are gone (which won't happen now) and they still can't win a state championship due to the magnets and open zoned schools.

VolunteerGeneral can probably clear this up for us. But, I think I heard that Liberty is a new school that picked up students that were zoned at other Jackson schools. The "magnet" is technically stretching it a bit. There is a wing of Liberty that is magnet, as they offer classes not available at other local schools - but the school primarilary just a new school. Madison, on the otherhand is a true magnet and there is a lottery to get in -- just lilke Hume-Fogg in Nashville.

How lucky do you have to be to get really good girls basketball players to all win the lottery. They should consider going to Vegas with that luck.
