Interesting to see if JCS can control the clock by completing passes or if they wil end up giving more chances with the ball for Westview. I think this first foray into 2A will be 2tough for JCS.

1982-86 Dawson Springs (KY) vs Providence (KY). Big rivalry game, usually the only win for either team was whoever beat the other one. Never saw any coach or player shake hands with the other for four years. Both programs have now been disbanded due to lack of participation.

JCS upsets previously undefeated (district) Adamsville 56-55 on Clay Fowler's last second shot. Eagles face Madison in finals on Tuesday.

How lucky do you have to be to get really good girls basketball players to all win the lottery. They should consider going to Vegas with that luck.

No one who works at the school, regardless of whether they are the coach or not can coach any player who would be eligible to participate in a varsity game. If you have a middle school and high school on the same campus, then that would make rising 8th graders (kids who just finished the 7th grade) eligible for varsity. You can coach them during your spring practice (10 practices and 2 scrimmages within 15 days). Coaching eligible kids is a violation of the practice rule.

Strange how the grumbling starts when things appear to be going south. Everyone should remember that players win games, no matter how good the coaching is. Not one coach has ever scored a basket or stopped the other team. Coffman is a good coach, he'll have them ready for the tournament. And in basketball, the tournament is really all that matters.

If she has already quit two or three times, why is she still on the team? If a kid wants to quit, let 'em quit. Sometimes its best for everybody if a malcontent leaves.

Hunter's Lane will be tough. Carter knows his stuff.

I guess they don't. No shame though, Middleton is double tough. They are good enough to win the whole thing.

You saw some of their fans? I was at the first round games of the girls tourney and it looked like both of their fans were really excited to be there.

They will have to enlarge their gym because there is nothing close to Middleton

Who's gonna win this one? This has really turned into a rivalry over the last 4-5 years. Adamsville won the first meeting at Adamsville.

I don't like the idea of taking a player out for making a mistake. It is hard to play while looking over your shoulder. Players need to understand their role. If it is made clear ahead of time what is expected, then the player can be be more relaxed on the floor.

District 14A is at USJ. Region 7 is at West Carroll.

Refs are in charge as long as they are on the floor, so yes, it is possible to get a T after the game is over.

There is no way they can expect to have another run like they did. You might not have that much talent in 100 years. The Henson sisters, Tonya tuggles, Michelle Street, Tameka Brown, etc. I mean c'mon those are some unreal players for any school much less a school that small. Sometimes the talent runs out. If you are gonna make chicken salad you gotta have chickens.

On paper McKenzie is better than that. But games aren't played on paper.

DCA is the real deal. Quick, tough defense and smart on offense. Kortni Hester is tough inside also.
