Does Bledsoe County have a standout running back by the last name of Melton? If so, what can you tell about what type of player he is.

Melton is a freshman, very talented young man, probably the best catcher on our baseball team this year. If he can keep his head on right, he has all the potential in the world, if not it's over.

Let's not forget about goodpasture's back number 38 Medley. He will be a senior. The fullback will also be a senior. Both crossed the 1000 yd mark this past season. I just wished they ran him off tackle for an entire game. Come the 4th quarter, the linebackers and saftey would be pretty bruised.

Over here in Humboldt we have one of the best backs in Adrion Donald. Plus we have Keith Wardlow as a great fullback/linbacker. Id say these 2 are up there with the best.

people better watch out for deron logan of CAK i know cak does not run the ball alot but he has the abilities to go up the middle on a run around the outside on a run and go out for a very long pass out of the back field and from a simple swing route turning them itno very big yards watch out for this deron logan he is absolutly outstanding

don't let Adrian Donald from Humboldt slip off of yall's minds...he may be a shorter back (5'8 185) than the rest but he has alot of speed and strength...he ran a 4.40 in the 40 last year and no telling what he would run this year...we maxed about 2 months ago and he got 280 in clean, 300 in bench, and 450 in squat...im sure his weight will increase when we max again here in another month...also keith wardlow on the team is a very strong back...he's taller than AD but about the same weight (5'11 185) and he lifts about the same thing as adrian except in bench he got 315...but we tried him at QB and did well and has great speed (4.49) and has a good arm...so after having a bad year last year im sure these 2 seniors (12 seniors in all that start) and the rest of the vikings will return to have a great season this year

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
