What's going on in District 5AA?

Someone please tell me what's going on in District 5AA? With me coaching at Polk Co. I never get to see anyone else play or hear about their games unless its on CoachT. I know McMinn Central's for real but that is about it.

 

Boyd Buchanan will win the district. Sweetwater should be 2nd although McMinn Central could pose some problems. Brainerd and/or Tyner won't give anybody a tough game.

Bledsoe has played both Sweetwater and McMinn Central and we tied with Sweetwater 1-1(Preseason)....We lost to McMinn Central 2-0 and 2-1 and beat them 1-0....So I think Mcminn Central will finish runner-up in the District but clearly Boyd is the favorite....

I am interested to see how well Sweetwater has recovered from losing so many seniors from last year's squad. I guess I'll find out Tuesday when we (Polk) host them in a double header.

Anybody know anything about Tellico? How are they doing?

Bledsoe plays Tellico tomorrow night in the Anderson Co. Invitational....I'll be able to tell you more after that game.....I know they've lost to Meigs once or twice....

i think McMinn Central can win 5-aa ...they are better than alot of people think....they my just sneak up and win 5-aa....don't count them out.....it will be Boyd , Sweetwater and McMinn Central playing for first and second ......don't think Meigs is ready yet...to young....

I agree. Central and Sweetwater are very good, and I expect nothing less from Boyd. Central may surprise a lot of people this year. They are a very solid team.

BIG win for Meigs today as they rally from a 5-1 second inning deficit to defeat McMinn Central 9-5. Might just give all those freshmen & sophomores some much needed confidence.
