OS lost to Rockwood 14-6 and Clinton 3-1. The Rockwood game I think the pitching had a lot to do with that game. The ump had a very tight strike zone which made it difficult but he was that way with both sides and I think Rockwood was able to adjust to that and OS wasn't. The Clinton game neither team hit the ball very well, but you have to look at Clinton who is a very good ball club and competes in a very hard district and I believe they are a 3A school. OS plays these hard teams so they can learn a lot and learn to compete with some of the best teams around.

OS is a very good team. We played them in their tournament last weekend and they were a very good ball club.

Rockwood beat them because they straight up mashed. Rockwood hit three (?) home runs that game, which really helped them roll. They were just putting the ball in play and it was landing for them.

OS had a double header. Right after they lost to Rockwood, they had to turn around and play us (Clinton). Neither teams hit the ball very well, pitching was the key I guess.

I think they still will do good in their district. They have only lost two games for goodness sake, you talk like they are trash now carletto123. Let's face the fact, they weren't going to go undefeated all year. They have a good team though, best of luck to them.

you need to check the enrollment numbers. os has more kids than rockwood. what is the next excuse???

Just because someone made a mistake you don't need to go bashing them. You're implying that all OS does is make excuses. Some people do but a lot don't. So you need to quit being bush league because you are dropping to the same level as others.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
