Now that Spring Fling is over, what media outlets provided best coverage.

i thought the DAILY NEWS JOURNAL out of Murfreesboro did a real great job of covering the spring fling i was pleasntly surprised but they did a fantastic job in my opinion

DNJ did a better job than expected.

The Jackson Sun did a GREAT job this year.

 

Oh, wait. . . .what did I just say? This was the WORST year of coverage for the Sun since it began covering high school baseball. Not only were they still writing stories about Willie Kemp (basketball) and Chris Donald (football) in the middle of April, but they only did two stories on baseball all spring until the tournaments. Even then, you didn't get any coverage outside of District 12AA (Liberty and South Side) or 15A (JCS). They didn't even cover their beloved USJ Bruins' tournament.

 

The front of the paper says something like "serving West Tennessee since . . .", but should change to "unless we have to leave the county to write the story". Tons of talented athletes and great baseball stories to be written. Congratulations, JS, you just lost one subscription - count on it.

Well duh..I would hope so since the Daily Newsless Journal is in the boro.

That`s simply not true. They just don`t cover it. They did a decent job in the playoffs and a fine job in the spring fling. BUT..they were a total no show during the regular season.

 

Thank goodness for "On the Ball" magazine.!!!!!

Is that an excuse? Maybe they ought to look at what they got and fire and hire.

They sure have put alot into basketball coverage during the spring.

My friend put in a proposal into Comcast for them to video at least a Game of the Week and have it on their VOD server. We'll see if they accept it or not.
