Class 2A: Region 2 Favorites

Loudon is an above average 2a team again this year but Alcoa is still on another level. Dont get me wrong any team can beat any team on any given night, but assuming Alcoa's A game shows up against Loudon's A game I'll have to with Alcoa. They just have more athletes again this year.

Alcoa is still the powerhouse, Loudon is good but not enough to win region, CAK is better, Sweetwater returns to the playoffs, Rockwood just misses out, and OS/Wartburg bring up the rear.

Besides Alcoa, who will win the region that will have an overall winning record. Maybe CAK but the others are gonna have another tough year I think.

 

I say Alcoa will be 9-1 again this year and most wins won't be close.

 

Loudon will easily have another good season, last year they went 9-1 reg. season (of course losing to Alcoa) and then lost to Alcoa in the State Semi's but I do look for Alcoa to win the Region, I think the only real "test" left for Alcoa will be the fifteenth when they host Loudon, but having already lost 2 games, they will be coming out ready to whoop any team and with Loudon actually struggling against Lenoir City, but still pulling out the W, I expect the Region to go to Alcoa and Loudon to come in second.
