9U AAU National Championships

i just wanted to say how proud i was to watch the east tn stars and the voyagers compete at nationals

 

the coachers players and fans represented tennessee with class!

 

the girls played extremely hard

 

the voyagers lost some heart breakers playing close games with very good teams

 

the east tn stars amazed me with some big wins playing with i believe only 7 players

 

what heart!

 

congrats girls your all champions in my book!

Championship Bracket

 

KGC Lady Pride lose to Indy Hoosiers by a score of 18 - 19 to fall to the loser's bracket where they will face the Fairfax Stars.

 

Tennessee Team Pride lose to Indiana's Finest by a score of 26 - 37 to fall to the loser's bracket where they will face the El Paso Sun.

KGC Lady Pride defeat Dayton Lady Hoopstars by a score of 44 - 41.

 

 

This game was worth the whole trip. KGC was down 11 in the 4th quarter and I think it was 7 with about 2 minutes left. We tied with 47 seconds at 36 and then each team had turnovers until Hoopstars had a final desparation heave to break the tie but missed badly. Hoopstars were behind quickly in OT and never caught back up. Great win for the Lady Pride!

 

BTW, we won by 4 today against Fairfax. We play WV Thunder at 3:00.

KGC Lady Pride defeat Fairfax Stars by a score of 32 - 28 to advance in the loser's bracket where they will face the West Virginia GBA Thunder. With this win, the Lady Pride guarantee themselves a finish of at least T-7th.

 

Tennessee Team Pride lose to El Paso Sun by a score of 29 - 35 which ends their play at the National Championships. Team Pride finishes T-9th in the country.
