Did Berry ever run better than the 9:36 he ran at State in track? If not, it appears to me that Keveren, with his 4:15/9:23 as a soph, is pretty formidable.

Watch out for some other runners to mature a little this year:

Matt Sonnenfeldt (4:30 as a freshman)

Chris Cole (15:28 as a freshman, nothing since)

I don't think either of those guys will win state--Keveren is definitely the favorite--but they are definitely on the cusp of moving up.

just looking at last years times there are a few more people that could be in this mix.

1 Berry, Chris 15:16.00

2 Young, Riley 15:29

3 Chandler, Stuart 15:41.11

4 Ellis, Mark 15:42

5 Haltom, Ken 15:42.71

6 Adams, Clay 15:43.35

7 Rahman, Haseeb 15:44

8 Baltimore, Matt 15:51

9 Fassino, Steve 15:51

10 Keveren, Sean 15:51.77

since we are talking about state, lets go with steeplechase times....which are nowhere near that

I say Berry... This is just his year... and he's training real hard this year... so i've heard. But i dont think that list is very accurate either because some of those times are recorded on really easy or a little shorter courses and so some of those guys 2nd best time is pretty well off their time shown there. I don't think comparing steeplechase times are neccessarily the best thing to do either... i say look at their overall performance from last year and take it from there.

Yes. The 16:42 was at the Battle of Brentwood. He had a stomach cramp around mile 2 and coach told him to bring it in easy.

But Berry is looking really good this year.

maybe so ...but guess what he's doing this weekend?? sharp springs invite or something like that??? as far as im concerned, it should be called the "Sharp springs im afraid to race sean keveren invitational"

they need to got at it... but i guess a keveren, adams, chandler battle will suffice

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
