Both Spring Hill and Mt. Pleasant looked good. Mt. Pleasant took out starters after 2 offensive series and 2 defensive series, Spring Hill kepted theirs in till a little after the second quarter. MP offense looked great, Butler and Clifton each scored for MP and Daily ran very well, and completed a few nice passes.. SH also looked very well on offense. Their quarterback and runningback can run very well, although they did have one interception. Defense was poor for both teams, sloppy tackling (actually no tackling most of the time). SH didn't pass very much, so we didn't get to see much of Mp's secondary but #4 for MP(Gaines, I believe) had a very nice interception. Fianl was 24-14, SH.

do u have any details on the game...was mtp just outplayed?? did they make alot of mistakes?

Mt Pleasant starters only played for two series. MP was up a touchdown when Smith pulled his first stringers. Spring Hill played most of there starters all the way up to two minutes to go in the game. Spring Hill starting tail back, Walker, scored on Mt Pleasant's freshmen team. Mt Pleasant 3rd string offense was playing aganist most of there starters. Not much class in the Spring Hill coaches for doing that.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
