CU is right about the parking - it will be a nightmare on Friday night. I would advise all the teams to arrive by 5:00 even if you don't have a 5:00 match. Come early and eat at Page's top notch concession stand before your matches. I know I'll be there by 4:00 as Page has a 5:00 match with Riverdale. Leaving will be another headache as the last VB match will be over about the time the football game ends. If I didn't have to post scores on Friday's play, I would camp out in the parking lot and roast some brats over a camp fire

Rumour also has it that CU will be making a special appearance to sign autographs on both days. She has made a concession to charge only $10 instead of her normal $20. The chili recipe is actually from another mom that had 3 girls in the volleyball program so she has made this recipe from the beginning of the Page Classic, which was about 11, or maybe 12 years ago. It is a Page tradition. It's also really good stuff! Almost as good as brats cooked in beer!

Everything is "A GO" for tonight's matches in the Page Classic. I am not aware of any schedules changes. I'm heading on over to Page to see what's going on and will update this topic later tonight with the scores and results.

Eagleville's night was a tough one.

 

Game one with Karns was a mystery match, since we had not seen them yet. A very good team! Karns blew us out in game #1, their serves were very strong. #20 and #11 are exceptional players. They have four players that are 6' or taller and some more that are very near 6'.

 

In match two, we finally figured out how to break those serves and fought back to win. Our girls showed a lot of heart to take down this giant.

 

Match three saw Eagleville and Karns going back and forth. Karns fought back to force us to win by two.

 

It was a exciting match and Some how our girls pulled out a huge win.

 

BGA caught us on empty. They are a very good team! #7, their OH is a fantastic player. She put down some of the hardest and was the most consistent of kills that I have seen all season. We were able to hang with them for a while in the second game, but they had some excellent sets and were just too strong for us tonight,

 

Match three was against Columbia Central. Our girls finally put together their best match of the night and were able to out battle Columbia Central 2 - 0.

 

I look forward to the tournament tomorrow. Right now BGA and Karnes are some powerful forces to be reckoned with.
