I do know that last year, Grace beat the Academy by 6 and didn't win another game after that. I know Grace is a lot better this year, on offense especially. I really don't see how this game could be a 38-19 deal. Grace is good...buy they aren't that good. Clarksville Academy is a little better than a Silverdale Academy or a Zion Christian(I could actually jump the gun and say "A LOT" better". To be honest, Grace will probably get 5-6 wins this year, like last year, and if they get better every week, may go to the playoffs. I definitely don't want myself or anyone to get anybody on this board stirred up over this topic because hey, it's a game that's supposed to be fun to talk about.

They actually did win another game after Clarksville, but nice try. They also played thier first region schedule and did much better than anybody thought they would. Few people thought they would win even 3 games. How do you know Clarksville is a little or "A LOT" better than Silverdale. Have you played them? Or evan similar opponents? Why did you mention Zion Christian?

It is true the schedule has been good for Grace and will get tougher as the season continues but if you compare this offense with last years offense they are much better. That QB has really made a difference.I think he allows you to get the ball to the skilled players where the team as a whole lacks the team speed and physical play to match the more established teams.Anytime you get a player like that you give your team a chance to be in certain games. The last few games the coaches have really done a good job on taking what the defenses give them.I think they must continue on that path and dont forget the old screen play because I think the Pirates and teams similar will pin there ears back after that QB good luck

Congratulations for the eagles, I wish them a good rest of the season. Their QB is something else and #1 is a good runningback. I will say that Grace got lots of breaks in the game, but won it fair and square. I think CA has a chance against eagleville if they work on doing the simple things, like hanging onto the football. If they can get some turnovers for their side this next game capitolize on them, and hang onto the football, then they can and will win. The problems are definitely on offense and defending the pass is a problem on defense, which is something eagleville tends to do in vast ammounts.

I just found the offensive statistics for both teams in the game.

CA-242 yds.

Grace-185 yds.

CA Rushing- Burkhart 10-81, Dyer 9-13, Darby 10-57, Smith 6-65

Grace Rushing- Harvey 7-24, Blake 19-74, Cross 7-19, Johnson 3- -4, Graham 1- -8

CA Passing- Dyer 3-8-26-1td

Grace Passing- Blake 5-12-80-1td

-Also, on another note, CA's Leamon had 13 solo tackles, 3 sacks, and a fumble recovery.

Although CA came up short, I think everyone can see that this program is building and improving quickly. The main hindrance to their success is that they just don't have the depth yet. This program is still a work in progress. Give these guys another year or two and they are going to be a play-off team again. They have plenty of families to draw from in Clarksville that will pass up one of the big public schools there to go where they will get the education and also get their kid a better chance to play. We'll wait and see if it happens. Remember, CA was a Clinic Bowl team in 1997 before idiotically disbanning the football program when headmaster Johnny Miller retired.
