Top Girl Players in Tennessee -- Underclassmen Only

Yes but yet again...they don't get any recognition!!

Part of the problem is that the combined record of the teams that Montgomery plays is 43-79-17. Strength of schedule is a big part of "respect and recognition". (besides the fact that this thread is for underclassmen) You may have some great players, but right now, you haven't been challenged by any "big names".

Wow!

I read soccerstar2279's posts and laughed real hard.

You joined coacht to post that stuff?

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I please direct your attention to the name of the thread..."

If you have some underclassmen at Montgomery Central (whatever that is) that you want to recognize, please do so.

I agree that soccerstar2279 posted in error.......but c'mon BRUINSOCCER, don't you think that Montgomery Central just might be a school? Probably like the school that most of these other girls go to.

I am pretty sure that soccerstar2279 didn't join Coach T to be treated like that.

Emily Perkins is a great forward. I did not realize she was just a sophomore. A couple of other names:

Grace Stumb - Harpeth Hall, 9th, MF - started every game for HH this year

Rachel Wachs - Harpeth Hall, 10th, D

Emily Carpenter - Harpeth Hall, 10th, D - has started every game for HH the last two years

Sweetwater has 2 freshmen that have really helped this year.

Forward Bailey Shope has been a real goal scorer this year.

Mid Fielder Mallory Gruenenfelder has played a strong outside mid for Sweetwater enabling them to use the width of the field.

I have heard that Sweetwater had some really good players. I wasn't able to see you play earlier this year, but I hope to see you play in the post season. Good luck in Regions.

Greeneville has several Sophmore and Freshman who start or take turns starting

MF/Fwd - Hannah Abelson - starter - Soph - she is big, aggressive and a rocket for a leg

Aly Carrino - striker and occasional starter - Soph - just coming off ACL repair - 9 goals as a Frosh and 5 goals last several games since being released to play - small but very fast

Emily Freeman - MF - Soph starter - sister of All-State MF Stephanie Freeman from a few years ago.

Kristin Leng - Soph - starter on defense.

Katie Lamons - Freshman - occasional starter on defense - also small but fearless

Katie Anderson - Freshman striker - 8 goals coming off the bench

GV also has an excellent crop of 8th graders (about 12) coming in next year all with traveling experience and will only be losing 3 Seniors so it looks good for awhile.

    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
    • They do have good community support for sure and did when I coached under Z for 4 years. (I was on that staff that turned them around a little from winning 1 game a year to actually being competitive).  Great Kids and Great Community over there.  They have done some good things with the facilities from when i coached too.
    • I personally will not mind that one bit.  It seems like a really strange fit to me from the git go.
