Oakland @ Wilson Central

Oakland is at 3-1 with wins over Siegel, Blackman and Franklin Co...Pats only loss was to a strong Franklin team.

 

Wilson Central is struggling a bit...losses to Hendersonville 6-26, Smyrna (one of the best teams in Mid Tn) 0-20 and their win was over Mt Juliet 28-10.

 

This is a key game for Oakland in their drive to get back to the playoffs.

I expect oakland to win but wc plays good defense and has an excellent running back ( that if they would quit that wing t non sense and run him straight at defenses instead of all that side to side stuff he would be a lot more effective)

 

this could turn out to be a close game and for both teams it may be for playoff seeding

Im not fully convinced that WC is the underdog in this one. They still have alot of their guys from last year, but obviously arent at the level they are, they still are a good ball club. Oakland made some good strides on offense, but it was against a weak FC team. A win over WC would validates Oakland's rise back to the program it once was, even though Oakland is 2-0 in the region, this game could make or break their season

As long as our Defense keeps playing excellent i think we'll take this one.I can't predict a score yet because i havn't seen wilson central on film yet.

Absolutely right. Oakland has had the chance to play a game with this much meaning since 2003, the last year they went to the playoffs. I cant remember a time when Oakland has started 3-0 in the region, 1998 is prolly the last year they were able to do so now that I think about it

 

As I understand it, Oakland will be WC's homecoming opponent. Last year, WC was Oakland's homecoming opponent and they embarassed Oakland on our homefield. Now is as good as a time as any to return the favor

If the Oakland defense can stay at home and not overplay the run then the Patriots win this game. The Patriot offense looks pretty good and the Wilson Central defense is not near as strong as last year. Oakland right now looks like a playoff contender.
