Smyrna beat Hendersonville today to finish. They ended season with victory over Beech, Gallatin & Hendersonville but unsure what the final standings were.

I don't have all the results in right now from Tuesday's games but I can give you a ball park figure.

For some reason, something tells me that the MJ/WC contest was a barn burner and had a large crowd. Lavergne took care of business but the other match had to be good for 9.

A good day of volleyball yesterday at Smyrna

 

Lavergne/Smyrna game had a great atmosphere. I was really proud of the smyrna crowd. They gave us a great lift, but Lavergne was simply too good for us to maintain what we did in the 3rd game. Final score was 25-10, 25-18, 23-25, 25-18.

 

WC/MJ match was back and forth with Central winning the first two, MJ taking games 3 and 4 and than a 5th game which saw Central run out to a 10-3 lead only to have MJ storm back and pull with within 2 at 12-10. WC held on for a 15-12 win and a region berth.

 

The final was all Lavergne. The lady Wolverines were the best team hands down all year in our district and proved it in the final. I do give a big hand to WC for playing hard after their 2 hour + marathon in the semi and having to turn around 20 minutes later and do it again. I vote next year, we play the final by itself on another night.

 

Good luck to Lav and WC in the region. Represent 9AAA!!
