JCM will hopefully take care of RE and get ready to get in the playoffs with a win over Hardin County. The bright spots in the loss at HC included a solid performance in the passing game as well as very few penalties. We need to be able to run the ball better and stop the run. We must be more physical and return to our intimidating style of defense.

You are right Yanker. JCM does have a lot of bright spots. I don`t think the players have given up any hope of making a nice run in the playoffs. The talent is there. One thing I think has hurt the Cougars this year was the loss of Coach Singleton as defensive coordinator. He was as you might know sent to Northside in order to get more white teachers at JCM. He`s now making twice as much money driving a truck from what I heard. I really wish we still had him. Dang all these hoops schools have to jump through nowadays.

I`m hoping Billy Parks will be back soon. He`s fast and steady as a db and a nice threat on offense when they have him in.

This is a real possibility. I wouldn't mind coming to this game. What kind of shape is the Rock in now with reconstruction and all?

The ROCK is definitely under construction but it would be nice for the HC faithful to come and visit...PLEASE beat NS!!!

Good luck to JCM, i'm sure they will win this game.

Thank you my "crockerman of a friend"...the YANKER hopes you are correct!!!

The YANKER would like to have both back as well. If we can finish third and win round one, wouldn't we play Munford in round two??? That would be GREAT!!! The YANKER is getting excited about the possibilities!!! The ONLY team I really worry about in Memphis is Melrose...I hope the YANKER is right. Right now, we need to beat RE and then Hardin County. I do not see HC letting down and getting beat by NS...they are more physical for sure. The next two weeks will be interesting to say the least.

Yes, that's how it would shake out. If Brighton wins, then JCM 4th and Brighton 3rd. But if Northside pulls an upset, JCM is out. Good point about the East game. Is that a sure thing that HC will be playing East?

The YANKER does not think that it is a certainty but it is VERY likely. East and RE play next week and my friends in Memphis say that East is MUCH better than RE.

Yanker you are right a 3rd place finish and a first round win over Fairley would place you at Munford for round 2. We would gladdly grant you all the hospitality Munford has to offer. I can't understand your statement of the only team to worry

about is Melrose. How can you say that when you didn't beat Munford, Hardin Co.,

and Fairley isn't going to be bad either. Yanker if your team does make the playoffs which I hope they do you will have an uphill battle every week.

We haven`t played Hardin yet. I was surprised to see that Hardin only threw the ball 3 or 4 times against Munford. I thought their wr`s were suppose to be a real strength for them. Any comments?

Fairley may be better than the YANKER thinks but Melrose is usually the only team in that region that can beat a good team. I do not consider Munford and Hardin county to be Memphis teams. I am talking about Region 8.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
