I've seen Ooltewah play twice in person and once on TV and they are quick, athletic and the deepest of the Ooltewah teams I have watched over the last few years.

Science Hill also has some really big boys on the front line and they have played some very good football the last several weeks. When they are not making mistakes they are a very difficult team for even the better teams to play--for example last week against DB--albeit in terrible weather conditions. The thing is that this team can play with most opponents and could be a very scary first rounder for a surprisingly tough Owl team, that is still quite young.

However, I believe that Ooltewah's depth, big-play-making ability and their quickness will wear Science Hill down. The game will be close in the first half, with Science Hill controlling the ball. Then Ooltewah will begin breaking off big plays as Science Hill tires, resulting in an Ooltewah win, 49-21.

It's good to see the Owls' fans exicted about there team and frome everything I'm hearing that they should be. We are pretty excited about our Toppers and our kids are looking at this game as an opportunity to extend their season just as every other football team that will be playing Friday night will be....I'm not sure if any other team has to make as long a trip as we will for an 1st round playoff game but it is what it is.....Science Hill has a few gamebreakers of their own in David Alexander (#6) and Solomon Duannah (#40) that the Toppers must get flowing in this game to have an chance.....Alexander plays wide out and corner when he's not returning punts for touchdowns while Duannah may be the best running back in NE TN....Science Hill will go as those two go on offense, while we have plenty of receivers we have trouble getting the ball in their hands, we have good size on the offensive line and haven't had too much trouble moving the ball on anyone, the trouble seems to come in the red zone and with turnovers..mulitple offense that runs the spread and I-formation.....good speed with all that touches the ball....bruising back in Nat Scott (#32) and a very promising tight end in Zack Jordan (#86) and Issac Kinley (#22) is quick as lightening and plays bigger than his frame.....this offense can score from anywhere on the field on any play but has trouble finding the right plays in games.......

Tell me what to expect from the Owls' defense.....

Ooltewah runs the Wishbone and a 5-3 on D.

    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
    • Now that wouldn’t surprise me a bit. That has been going on heavily since the days of Larry Kerr @ AC. One of the major reasons CC has never really had much at all, barring about 2 seasons in football. AC milks it dry.
    • Interesting how quite it is. Rumors are going around that Anderson County is being looked at by TSSAA for recruiting violations with the Campbell County transfers.
    • I heard from a member of the teaching staff that there has been a dispute over use of the game field between football, and girls lacrosse team. Girls had a game and wanted to warm up and football coaches did want to leave. The football coaches came down hard with some bad vulgar language and the girls lacrosse backed down. What a classy act BHS athletics has become.
