Wow, I have a hard time believing that a coach would hold back in order to set up a team for a playoff game that was not even guranteed. I know you are just trying to get a reaction by making such ridiculous comments. Plus, if that was the plan, why reveal it. Anyways, Alcoa stomps CAK in this one, and moves on to the 3rd round. Alcoa is buildng momentum every game, and it is like a freight train going down hill at this point. Teams are being destroyed, and CAK is next on the tracks. There is a tornado warning in advance at Goddard field on Fri. night, and CAK should seek shelter. Luckily for CAK the staters won't play the whole time. I just hope Alcoa has another shutout. It would be nice to make it to the third, maybe even fourth round being unscored on.

That's about the dumbest thing I have ever heard(tornado warning). Just as heelsfan said I hope you are embarassed to say that. Alcoa will win, but I hope they have enough class, not to run it up too much, especially since it will be Coach Young's last game coaching.

Once again, not embarassed. Also, I hope Alcoa does not run it up either, but I guess that is up to CAK. You throw picks for touchdowns then too bad. Alcoa will pull starters, they always do. They will also let the 2nd and 3rd string do their basic dive plays if it gets out of hand, however, they will still play as hard as the starters. If it gets really bad quarters can shorten and clocks can continuosly run. They have class, but the other team plays a part in the end result.

So what do other people think about CAK's QB Cates? Obviously NOLES4EVER thinks he's really not that good? I heard he was a good running QB and a pretty good passer, but he has less than 100 yards rushing all year? Didn't Mike Fromke get some playing time at QB earlier this season? Can Cates improve enough to give the Warriors a chance next season, or is he just not "the answer"?

You must not know much about Alcoa football! The tornadoe warning thing has been there for decades! You have to be from blount county to understand what we're talking about.

CAtes and Fromke both combined for 5 picks and were running for their life in the first game. Alcoa will force the issue up front again and get the ball back to the offense. Look for an early night again and QUIT THROWING WHEN YOU ARE DOWN BIG!!!! :thumb:

Why do you post terrible, hateful, comments about Coach Reid in a Georgia High School Football board?

Why do you post terrible, hateful, comments about Coach Reid in a Georgia High School Football board?

Show me one thing that I said that was not the truth. Here is the quote of my post.

"What is everybody complaining about? gee this coach put up 70 points in ONE HALF last year in the playoffs. He does have a HUGE ego though, but does he win games! He has also been on the wrong side of those scores as well so he is immune to the critcism. Good luck to all of you and Alcoa is still rolling without Reid going for third straight state championship! "

This was in response to peoples reaction in GA when Reid was up by 27 and going for 2 points with 3 minutes to play...If there is one thing that I said that was not true I will apologize. But if the truth hurts that is your problem, not mine.

It seems not many people went to Alcoa Games growing up. The sound of the Tornado Siren overhead while the band played The Horse by Cliff Nobles and Company and Delozier announcing a Tornado Warning for Goddard Field, Its all part of tradition at Alcoa....A tradition thats brought us 7 State Championships...That my friends is something NO Tornado is embarassed of!!!

Alcoa wins this one easy 70-0

and for a preview im gonna call it next week Alcoa 56, Loudon 0

Just one quote sums everything up

    • Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
