I saw Centennial play recently and I'm pretty sure Rebecca Yarborough who played at Brentwood last year was starting. This really confused me because I thought players who moved schools weren't eligible for a full year if they had played varsity at their last school. Can anyone explain?

There is a deadline sometime in June. If they apply after the deadline, they have to wait til the new year.

Centennial has been getting better, but they are far from a contender. Remember, these guys are without 4 of their 5 leading scorers from last year and also without longtime Coach Brian Kelly, who is focusing only on the boys team this year. We have alot of new players and we are still trying to find our chemistry.

I agree. Centennial will be a hard team to face after a few more games. Now that Anna is playing again, they should pull off a few big wins. Do not take this team lightly.

The family moved into the Centennial district and Rebecca was no longer eligible to play at Brentwood but was eligible at Centennial.

I remember seeing her play freshman basketball for Franklin but I don't think she ever played varsity so that would explain why she was eligible her sophmore year at Brentwood.. I guess when her family moved. So, in the last three and a half years, the family has moved from the Franklin High zone, then to Brentwood, and now to a part of Franklin that is zoned for Centennial? I've been going to basketball games for a really long time and I have never seen a player play for so many teams.. I wonder if she has the Williamson Co. record for being a part of the most teams.. seriously.

Isn't her sister the Franklin coach?

Remember Tabatha Almander. Not all in Williamson County, but she went from Cookeville, to Brentwood, to Shelbyville, to Oakland. In fact she went to back to back state tournament finals with Shelbyville and Oakland.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
