Temple should have an outstanding team this year. I agree that it will take Temple a few weeks to get into "basketball mode." But they have some strong players in Seth Skogen, Jeremy Sexton, Josh Smith, and Dee Newsome. Those 4 guys are going to give many defenses fits. There is no doubt in my mind that Coach Skogen will do an excellent job as the Coach. He worked with Coach Wadley for 7 years and I'm sure he learned a lot of things that he wants to continue to do with Temple's team...I am excited to see how Temple does and to see How Coach Skogen does as the Head Coach!!

As fas as Seth Wadley leaving Temple to go to McCallie, I think that it is a great move for him...Especially with the way things are going at Temple. I am sure that he is sad to leave his friends, but he has many friends at McCallie that he has known for a while. Also, the education that he will receive from McCallie will be much better than that of Temple. Even though he is only going to be there for 3 semesters it will be better than at Temple. I know that both of Seth's brothers greatly encouraged him to go to McCallie simply for the education! Most likely he will be playing Jv basketball this year, but there is an outside chance that he may be eligible to play varsity this year. Either way he will have a great finish to his high school career at McCallie!!!

I'm sure Seth is filing for a hardship to play basketball at Mccallie. He will get it because he dad is now employed there. As far as Joey goin there, i dont think so.Why would Joey leave his dad and older brother and a chance to win a state title just to go to Mccallie?Anyways, i heard from a reliable source Joey will be goin to Lookout Valley next year.

How would Joey go to Lookout Valley? Don't the Skogens live in Dade Co. if he left he would go there wouldn't he?

Seth Wadley is definitely at McCallie. He has withdrawn from Temple and is now enrolled at McCallie. It is a done deal.

I am hoping that he has the greatest of success there!

Word is that Joey has applied at McCallie. I have heard this from several people at McCallie. It would make sense for him to go now so he can get in the atmosphere and learn how things are done so it is not a culture shock when football season rolls around next year. He could play JV next year and be a major contributor in McCallie's offense his senior year.

Can anyone confirm THIS ONE

I cannot imagine that Mc Callie would admit a student that is not a faculty member family member this time in the semester or even in mid-year. If Mc Callie is really interested in the younger Skogen then maybe they are going to offer his dad a job. If this happened, then a hardship request could be made and probably would go through and the younger Skogen could be eligible for football on the varsity level. Heck, if he wanted to play basketball on the varsity level, his dad could just leave Temple now and be an assistant and the same situation could apply.

Will everyone be leaving Temple after this year?

    • Wiz, could you kindly inquire of MP whether my pork shoulder has completed its duration in the smoker? My appetite has been piqued, and I eagerly await its readiness. Regrettably, it appears that despite my attempts at communication, there has been no response forthcoming from him.
    • Given your evident depth of knowledge on coaching matters, I'm intrigued to hear your perspective on who you believe would be the most suitable candidate for the position.
    • If he’s the best option that isn’t good. I heard he couldn’t even get the qb to play baseball this year.  kids aren’t coming out for him either he’s in the same boat. But it’s trousdale county and it’s just baseball. You can win one game a year same goes for basketball no one will even kno or talk about it. Just like up here on the hill basketball is the more serious thing in my books if you start losing there’s usually some change..
    • I live in Macon and watched both but I’ll take up for satterfield on this one look at the dudes he has these 2 years compared to the others don’t forget we barely even scored on them there for awhile when he started coaching there just look at 2018 on   If you give him athletes to play with he’s a dangerous d c.
