No joke. AC won more than 20 games last year and should win more than 20 this year. First, they play a weak district schedule. Every team in AC's district is down from last year. That will give them alot of wins. They should walk to the district finals, which they should have won last year. Second, there non-district schedule is not that tough. Expect them to go on a long win streak early. Third, and most important, they are loaded with quick athletic players. No one in their region has the athletes that AC has. Granted, AC doesn't have alot of size, but they are quick and athletic. Agressive defense will create points. Expect this team to do very well.

Well Bratman, have you moved???)

Is AC in stone memorial's district? If they are that will be a good test for the lady mavs and loudon will be good again. By the way have you seen ac play? "LOADED WITH QUICK ATHLETIC PLAYERS" r u serious? Ur funny!

I was in town for turkey and did see AC. I also read the paper this morning and saw that another of their quick young players had 20 something against CAK. Yes, this team has a ton of talent. Just watch, they will hit 20 wins before tournament, and state is a real possibility.

20 wins no way not possible. How about Emily Oaks going for 25 that is awesome but don't know if you can say they have a ton of talent. When you lose Faith and Emily that hurts and I am not sure if you can say loaded with talent. They got beat by 40 against Claiborne Co. Was Oaks the only girl in double figures??

How can they not win 20 games? They play in the weakest district and region in east tenn? They are loaded with quick athletes. Speed is going to win out over size.

Too be fair I live out of state now, and only know the girls by what they have done before. I think they will have a great year, and stand by my 20 win prediction.

You have to be joking or trying to stir something up. They are a good group of girls but if you stop Oakes who scores any points? They scored 43 last night at CAK and Oakes had 25 that means the rest of them scored 18. Last time I checked 18 points wouldn't win a middle school game. I wish them luck but I truly believe it will be a long season.

Is this the same Anderson County that lost to Claiborne County two weeks ago by 30 points---74-34?? Anderson County may make the district semi's and get to the regional but then they are done. Stone and Loudon will play for the District 4 title in my opinion. Seymour and Austin East will play for the District 3 title. Those four will be in the regional semis barring a huge upset.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
