Middle Tennessee Football
Besides O'neal,Braden,Morris and maybe highower i dont see anywhere else it could be or the center for off.line I think White did a good job this year at corner and receiver. He is pretty fast to be "White".
SHRaiders
Do you have the at-large members from each team in the region who made it as well????? Thanks for providing the official list Here it is for Spring Hill (It was announced on Thursday at the Banquet) Ned McCaster, Matt Dunn, Allan Fentress, Zack Purtle, Channing Harlan, Jay Brown. (I believe there is one more also). Oh and as far as Marshall filling the list next year... The Raiders have Magwan Smith returning (Athlete of the Year) and I believe the the DL of the year (from Giles) is returning also. I think the region will be just as tough next year and that it's going to be real tough for just one team to run the table.

I don't know what you are referring to but in my mind not every deserving kid made All-Region this year. All of the kids that made it I congratulate and wish the best and would like to say that all of you are terrific football players HOWEVER there were others out there that were worthy of mention. Examples: Zach Rogers (Lipscomb): one of the top receivers/playmakers in the region Kyle Lehning (Lipsomb): one of the top kickers in the region who made one from 48 this year Greg Owens (Spring Hill): the un-noticed part of their dynamic backfield Justin Batts (Cheatham Co.): without question a tremendous DL Daniel Dawson (Creek Wood): one of the top DB's in the region TE Stokes (Creek Wood): a hoss at RB that will be even better next year Jordan Dowd (Page): easily one of the top three or four WR's in the region and Neel's top target this year There were many others as well but these guys came to mind right away

Big Country
somehting has to be wrong if magwan smith from spring hill didnt make it and donte hightower from marshall county didnt make it They both made it as position players. Magwan was the MVP Athlete while Don'ta was the MVP Linebacker (along with Cobb from Giles Co.). That long list was just the "at-large nominees" The position list is on the previous page of this thread
Buford Pusser
i think comments like the one you just posted waters it down That is one of the biggest problems with kids today. All their lives they have been told that they are good. We tell them those things to build their self confidence and make them fell good about themselves. You did an execelent job using the bathroom little Tommy, you are just the best ever. And the kid just completely missed the toliet. There has to be a top and there has to be a bottom. And there are a lot more in the middle and bottom than at the top. But you are probably right, if everyone doesn't make the team their parents will get angry because it will hurt their chances of going D1. And I also heard the ACLU has been contacted. Since when did communism and socialism find its way into football, I thought it was just soccer.
Middle Tennessee Football
Looks like anyone with a pulse made the all region team. Kind of waters it down don't you think. A little harsh, but I know what you mean. I think having MVPs at every position is overdoing it. I would rather just name a 1st team offense and defense and list a couple as honorable mentions. There are only 8 teams in the region after all. I also think the backs to lineman ratio is too high. Lineman make up 5/11ths of an offensive formation and 3-5/11ths of a defensive formation but they do not get represented this way on these all region/state teams. Most at large picks go to the respective team's QB or RB. I feel bad for the hogies...no recognition!
