DAKEKO
hey dakeko...first let me tell you that my heart is very sad over selph...i am going to call your bro today...will miss seeing him wrestle and miss you guys alot... and yes...josh was 5-0 with 5 pins...he wrestled up at 189 all day because our 189 pounder was hurt...we did this so we could have another guy at 171 and not lose a weight class and thanks for the dnj info That's great I know Josh will do more great things this year in wrestling. He can be state champ! You'll still see me and Dakota in club and in the offseason. Good luck to you guys this year. BTW is Oakland really that good? tnko
Soms, You appear to be the authority on Smyrna wrestling. What is going on with the 112 lb wrestler? I hope everything is ok and he is still wrestling. Hate to see anybody leave this great sport. Please advise. Also, how did Blackman look? The 112lber (Selph) is still wrestling for the team. Just took the weekend off wrestling with other issues. Can't get on the mat unless your heads on straight. Thats how injuries can happen.. Thanks for your concern though

the wrestler
I think that if Coach G was still coaching he may not be having the problems with the Smyrna team as the new coach is now. People just didn't get how much Coach G worked with the boys not only on the mat but with them as students and helped them become good men. I sure hope the new coach isn't running these good wrestlers off. I don't recall Coach G having these kinds of problems in the past. I think I will start a petition to bring Coach G back. I don't want to run off the new coach, just think he needs Coach G's help. Congratulations to the Symrna Bulldog football team. I hope this does't go to the coaches head now. This is for the best. I'm certain others will be coming to help out the new coach G soon. Mark Gonyea needs to be with his family and other pursuits right now. WinWhenItCounts
If anyone starts a petition to bring Coach Gonyea back, it will only be because no one likes the discipline that Coach Garner has now. In so far as some wrestlers not wrestling on Saturday, Matt Martin got ringworm from an oposing team last week. He certainly did not get it from his own mats or from his own team mates, because Coach Garner makes sure all the mats are bleached everyday. Now, no one is being run off by Chris Garner, he is an excellent coach who knows the sport and will get this program running just fine. Maybe some people think they know what is going on in Smyrna when they really don't have a clue.
