Several teams can beat Oak Ridge. Don't know about easy, but Powell is the class of the district. Not under rating any team, just think Powell can beat them, especially with Caitlin back in the lineup. Who is going to stop her? It's like the question that was asked when Jordan was at UNC. Who can hold MJ under his average? Answer: Dean Smith, when he took him out. You leave Caitlin in the game and she destroys most of the teams that will be playing.

Yes the score on coacht is right, but what it didn't mention was the second half fouls. It was 15 Clinton and 4 Powell. Clinton got beat by 11 but there was 4 jump shots that was called charges. It was hard to get a fast break when Powell grabs the girls jersey and holds her back, then doesn't even get called for the foul. I guess they have special fouls for special players. But that is fine they won't always have home refs. It is bad when the girls play as hard as they did and the refs are the deciding factor of the game. Congratulations both teams.

now now.............clinton isnt the best place to play with those ridge officals! :thumb:

 

i would suggest one thing especially for young players as parents dont make a big deal of the officiating!

 

teaching them to play thru such times will help them more than sending tape to the tssaa!

 

you havent seen what the calls are like when you play oak ridge yet! lol

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
