Who does Smyrna have at 112 that everyone is convinced of them being seeded?

Just curious.

Coach Gonyea,

I do believe that would be Jordan Selph. He was at 112 at the Dawg Pound when we were there, I know he was in the finals and think he finished second if memory serves me. He looked good and should do well.

Dont hold me to this but i believe jimmy childers from white house might be going 130. Which might be a good move for him since he is having such a hard time cutting weight.

Yeah, I thought he looked weaker at 125 plus he's lost a few matches at that weight. He will probably get an higer seed at the 130 weight.

Rigger is your pick at 145 the Hendersonville kid or the springfield kid. Is Tucker considering dropping to 140 for the region??

He can. He could cause a few upsets at region and state IMHO.

If he stops making a few mistakes then he would be a real bracket buster.

Help me out on this. Jimmy C of WHHS should have the 125lb, #1 seed at Region.

If he moves up to 130lb the best he can get is #2. Is that correct?

depends on if he has beaten the guys at 130 or not. Do you know if he has lost to someone at 130?? Who would be #1 at 130 Yates orr?? Who won that matchup??

Well I think it would be Yates. I'm don't think he has been beaten in the Region.

I wonder who goes to #1 at 125? Might be our 125 since he is 1-1 against JC.

With a one and one it goes to the guy who won last. Hey shouldnt you be gone to the state tournament now. I am leaving at 130 to get there see you then.

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
