We will be bigger on the O-line, also a lot more experience. You know the QB personally. He is young but doesn't get rattled easily. He will have a solid line in front of him, so he will have time to get the job done. He made some big plays for us last year as a sophmore. We need for some of these receivers to step up about 3 notches. It is hard to replace Headon and Darius. RBs will be fine, but again, how do you replace Hathaway or before him, Peardon?

Yea, the one thing Nic has is a lot of is confidence :) . He was pretty good at being "Tim Tebow". I never thought he would be able to run like he did. I expect big things out of him. He and my son will be at the Bama football camp and the passing camp in East Ridge together so I'll get to scout him some more this summer. I've seen some of the younger kids so I know there is some talent there if you can just get a couple of them to step up. Who is the back-up QB?

The D-Line could start 4 Sr's, with a couple of big Jr's giving them some rest when needed. LB's are in good shape also. We will have to develop Db's and corners, but have some good prospects.

In short it looks like we have some good options for the holes we have to fill. The coaching staff has also been strengthened with a couple of nice additions.

I watched a few of their drills Tues while we were warming up. There are some pretty good looking kids out there. When is your spring game? Intersquad or do you have a team to scrimmage?

Who was added to the staff?

I think this Friday there is a intersquad scrimmage. I finally got some info on the team the other day and BUC4LIFE pretty much covered it all. Main replacements that need to be filled is WR and defensive secondary. Heard there are a lot of differnt options at RB. Could go big with the RB's, and we also have a few scat backs as well. Nic Huges should be good to go this year, after getting experience last year, and makin gafew big plays at that. Line will be experienced. Sorry i missed the game ZP! I had to work late Tuesday night.

How ya been BUC? Been a while since i have seen ya on here? Where is your plus membership? :)

No problem. We ended up losing 8-5. Seems like we have 1 bad inning every game and sometimes we just can't recover  . Will Boyd be at the jamboree with SP, jasper, etc this year

We had several that are playing baseball and soccer, so they did not participate. Backup QB is probably Cody Thomas, he will be a senior. He is our best TE on offence, but is very athletic. He could start about anywhere.

The intersquad game was Friday....we won!!!

Staff- Coach Darrel Caldwell. Lineman for the Bill and Jets. He played with OJ. His son Devin will be a sophmore.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • Great to have Coach Peek back !
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
