patriot pride
How strict are coaches being on "voluntary workouts"? Are we showing dedication needed to be successful? when workouts are truly voluntary, you find out who the true leaders are....if a projected starter is not showing up to workouts, the pressure should come from the leaders of the team. Kids need to go on family vacations but with workouts only being twice per week, they need to be there...consistently. This program needs players to step up with leadership and not wait for the coaches to step in. Thats when you will see this program take the next step and get to the level it should be. Participation should be as close 100% possible
Spectrum87
2 days a week? Participation should be as close 100% possible The team is working out 3 days a week, and the numbers have been pretty good too..

JCTWP
Good numbers, are the key players part of those numbers? I know it is dead period, when does actual practice start? Camp starts July 23. Instead of staying overnight, we will be going from 8-2 for 5 days. Then, our first day in pads is July 30. The key players are attending the workouts. Freakazoid
What happened at the 7 on 7???? It rained the entire time and you could not base much on it. Zach threw the ball OK, Darby threw it better (with no pressure), but we need receivers. With Nick not playing and Hoerner not there, we had a lot of balls go through hands. The score was probably pretty even. My concern was that some of the key players were not there (Brooks, Devan Allen, Tolliver, Hoerner, Stepp (if he is going to play). That is some key backs and receivers that need to get work with the QBs and work on timing.
