Yeah we notoriously don't do well in scrimmages but we went on to beat an excellent Greeneville team just a few weeks later before everything went down hill.

Christian McFall and Jamie Plont both signed with Carson-Newman. Devan Allen and Jessy Kraus both signed with Tusculum. And from what I've heard Shane Frank will be signing with Tusculum as well. Its really great to see that these guys have been given the oppurtunity to continue their football careers on the next level. Obviously we had a lot of talent on our team last year. Congratulations to Christian McFall of Jefferson County. He has committed to Carson-Newman College to continue his football career. A four year starter at Jefferson County and was Prep-Extra Sophomore of the Year as a RB. Team Captain and Pre-Season All-State QB his senior year before suffering a season-ending broken leg in the third game of the season. A great all-around athlete in both football and baseball. Also an A-student in the classroom and a great leader. Best of luck as he continues his career at a program with great tradition in both the classroom and on the field.

Anthony did a great job against Bearden, especially it bein his first start at QB. He is quick and has good size. He has a bright future at quarterback.

As a player, I can vouch for seeing cheap shots from the Indians. Specifically from number 71. I also watched my QB get grabbed by the facemask but of course the refs didn't call it. Cutting a guy is not always illegal. Its part of football. Going into the game, I assure you we had no intentions of injuring anyone. The cheerleaders sign pushed it a little too far and we were surprised that they would make something saying that. I am sorry to hear that some of your players were hurt but we did not intentionally injure anyone. Good luck to DB this year. I'm sure CC has gotten the message so I think the thread should turn to this week's game. Last week is over.

It comes down to how bad the Patriots want it. If they're willing to say enough is enough and play to their potential. Injuries or not, this is still a very good football team if everyone decides to step and take things personal. Christian is a great athlete and definitely an awesome football player. There is no doubt that he will be missed on the football field. That being said, Darby will do fine at qb and he will pick up where Christian left off. It obviously says something about Darby when he comes in in the first quarter and plays qb for the first time in about 3 weeks. He had completely quit working with the qb's and was working with the wr's in practice. And its not like McFall is gone. He is still a great leader and the captain of the football team. He will continue to have a positive impact on the Patriots.

A win is a win and CC did beat JC last year whether the refs were bad or not. We went into that game thinking CC would be a breeze but obviously that was not the case. I specifically remember Coach Anderson telling us before the game that if we weren't careful, CC would sneak up on us and win. Well JC is not gonna get snuck up on this year. We remember exactly what happened last year and we all want a little revenge. Good luck to CC this year. But you better be ready to play when you come to Dumplin Valley.

That is correct; he has been playing QB. As far as defense goes, I don't know.

Jeff. Co. will be improved this year. Last year was our first year in the split-back veer. The offense will not be new to us this season. The team as a whole has improved in the weight room and on speed so I think JC fans will be happy with what they see come August.
