This poll, along with all the others, shows how difficult it will be for Region 6 teams.

5 of the top 10 are in Region 6. Richland, Summertown, Collinwood, Santa Fe, and Wayne County. This is not to mention Moore County who is coming on as of late.

That means of those 6, only 2 will make it past region. Then the runner-up gets to play another top 10 team, Forrest.

All that means that if the top 10 is correct, 4 of the top ten teams do not have any chance of making it to state.

Good luck to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Richland Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jamie you are right here. But bet that does not make it change

Using that logic, I guess Knoxville Webb - who beat Lexington Catholic on a neutral court - is better than MJ...but...wait - Shelbyville bt. Knoxville Webb. In any case, I sense your frustration that MJ isn't listed #1 in every poll. But let's look at the reality in the voter's eyes - if MJ had 12 gold balls and Shelbyville didn't, then - yes - MJ would now be #1 in every poll. But MJ doesn't have anywhere near 12 gold balls; and Burkey is doing a good job of carrying on the Insell winning tradition. Maybe you're the type who won't be rooting for MTSU either, now that Insell is at the next level turning that collegiate program into the national powerhouse that he did at the high school level!

Oh Well, these things do have a way of balancing out..there is going to be a change you know...

I attended MTSU for 2 years and yes, I pull for them. At least now he can recruite and not be cheating.

How many Gold Balls do they have with all Shelbyville girls?? Answer: 1

You used the "c" word, so I suggest you better get used to receiving instead of joining the "Eaglettes jealousy" ranks. MJ has a great coach and a very solid program that is showing some signs of semi-dynasty status (that is, after they win a few more gold balls). MJ fans should be proud that the pre-high school classes are showing great motivation for building great athletes who follow the influence of their varsity. Pre-high school teams at Shelbyville are normally also very strong, because the varsity level impacts these girls to want to become stars when they hit the varsity. It's a natural dynamic in most successful programs. It's not all about recruting. Girls desiring to be part of a great coach and great program seeking a better opportunity for college recognition and scholarships beat down the door to play for Insell. MJ and WC will experience similar trends. Great athletes with potential will want to move to these counties to play for these great programs, and the more successful MJ and WC are, the more voices you will hear accusing these fine programs of the same jealous accusations that hounded Shelbyville. Get used to it, BWG; you'll be in the same position with MJ in a few years if they have anywhere near the success that Shelbyville has had long-term. So, I wouldn't get in the habit of calling other successful programs "cheaters." With a great program like MJ, you really don't have to display jealousy of any other program.

You are right. I don't have to display jealousy. And I don't. Mt. Juliet has had maybe the best program from top to bottom over the last 25 years. Most of Shelbyville's top players have come from other schools and I know for a fact that Insell contacted many players about transfering to Shelbyville. I knew about when he recruted Misty Lamb. I know of players he contacted and they didn't go. I will not call their name but I did talk to them.

You can call this what you want, but it's something that Shelbyville got away with for a long time. All of Mt. Juliet's players have been home grown. Alicia Clark moved there from Kansas, but she wasn't contacted from a local school in Tennessee.

Look at Region 7AA with Obion Co., North Side, Westview, and Milan all in top 10.

Look at District 13AA, with three teams in the top five Obion County #3, Milan #4 & Westview #5. What a District and shame that only (1) might make it to state. Adding #2 Northside, and you have (2) maximum that can make it to state from the region. West Tn. Rules in AA.

Another brilliant poll from a select few who apparently don't take the time to research actual games to see who is beating who. In D-2, Briarcrest goes to Pope John Paul this past weekend, without their best player, and beats them, yet remains behind them in the poll. Lausanne, who earlier in the year defeated Brentwood Academy, remains behind them and their 6 losses, one of which being to Harpeth Hall who Briarcrest beat by 20. If the folks voting in the poll can't get out to see these teams, at least look at their results, instead of going by their record or past reputation.
