Fantastic article about David Barnes and his ordeal. Turnham is to be applauded for addressing this issue in print and not shying away from it like other schools may would do. Turnham made it into a life lesson for David instead. You need to get one and read it.

Turnham is a good one...has helped a lot of kids over the yrs

he cares very much about the kids and he takes his responsibility very serious

And he is very stiff on the players who get in trouble/quit. Never have I seen a coach so willing to stand by his morals, even though it meant losing talent.

I have also known Coach Turnham to help those who quit the team....I remember one in particular when he was at Cleveland St.

He is very demanding but consistent in his discipline. His players know where they stand with him to say the least.
