I don't think anyone has any business saying anything derogatory about any young wrestlers. These kids work hard and deserve our respect. Critique, and debate, but don't get personal. Besides, you can only speculate and to do so at the expense of such a fine young man is shameful. Stick to what you know. We don't engage in such shameful behaviour. Let's talk wrestling!

chris beard would not have beat any of the 215s that qualified even if he wasnt sick

Maybe not but he could have won a couple of matches in between the finals that would have put Seymour on top in points as a team. Also he has never wrestled the boy from Gibbs so who knows what would have happened in the end. Sounds like you know alot about the 215 weight bracket, so you must know he has only lost to seniors this year and he is only a sophmore with a record of 40 wins and 11 loses.

I would like to say Good Luck to Frankie Morgan at state. I think you represent not only a great wrestler but you also are an outstanding young man. Good luck to you and the Seymour family will be pulling for you.

Frankie must be a pretty good guy as well as a fine wrestler but I sure wouldn't count out Shane Reveiz as the eventual 215 state champ. I don't know either wrestler personally but I suspect Shane is an equally outstanding young man and virtually even in wrestling ability. True Frankie holds the edge winning most of these extreemly close matches but something tells me Shane may be due. Several who were in attendence at the regions mentioned how well Reveiz moves for a big man. Reading these boards it sounds like Farragut wrestling has had numerous coaching changes and little support from the school during the time Reveiz has quietly put together one heck of a career.

Must be something in the water , region 2 has seemed over represented at the heavier weight classes the last couple of years at states

I would agree Reveiz is also and outstanding wrestler and all of the matches between him and Frankie have been very close in points. I'm not counting Reveiz out by any means and I think either one of them would be a great state champion. I just know a little more about Frankie. The 215 weight class is stacked this year and I really do believe it could be taken by anyone at state. I would love to see either one of them bring a state championship home because it would be well deserved and earned. So good Luck to the both of them.

No just a bunch of brothers

The one diff between Frankie and Shane is that Frankie wants it more IMHO. Shane is a great football player that took some coaxing to come out for wrestling.

He belongs to a great family and a dad and brother who love the sportof wrestling. I hope he is in the zone and makes to meet Coffee. Shane has only faced one 215 with the quickness of Coffee and he goes by the name of Nick and he won the D-I 215 State Championship last year.

I will be there cheering on Shane and Frankie. Coffee and Letner will be hard to beat but I've seen to might fall at State before. It would be great to see them meet in the finals. Good Luck and Safe Travels to all!

Congrats to Caleb Leonard (Halls) on his state medal.

For a 2nd year wrestler he has done a great job. Since he is following in the footsteps of other Hwy Wgt State Champs from Halls, I see him bringing home more medals and even gold before his time is over.

Congrats to Region 2 and all of the medalist.

Congrats to Farraguts 215 for proving he is one of the best in the State. He fought a 2 X State champ and took a former champ to 2 OT.

Congrats to Ethan Farinella for being the 1st freshmen to medal from for Farragut.

After moving away I can say that Region 2 is one of the top 5 in the State. I know some traditional programs are down but teams like Greenback, Seymour and WB have filled in the void and I see some great things from the majority of the schools in the region over the next 2 years.

Good luck to all and I look forward to seeing all the great grapplers and fans from Region 2 next year. Hopefully Daniel can keep from getting injuried and represent the region as a former Admiral next year at State.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
