ORANGEOWL
QUOTE(Warhawk1 @ Apr 18 2007 - 01:44 PM) 826440413[/snapback]I don't want to throw stones, don't know how many for sure. Just a bunch of guys standing around and talking after the game. He did throw the entire 10 innings and Lincoln County had 15 hits, so he faced, what at least 45 batters or so plus any walks. Adds up to a bunch. He had 135 pitches for the 10 innings. He only had 1 inning where he faced 6 batters, the other 9 innings were fewer than 6 most being 4 batters an inning. He faced a total of 44 batters. I bet Scott Beasley would be ready to pitch today if they needed him.

He did a good job last night.

If Coffee beats Shelbyville, then the Red Raiders would have sole possesion of first place in the district.

Lincoln Co is still the favorite because they have only 2 district games left with Tullahoma, while Lawrence Co and Coffee Co have 4 district games left. Lawrence Co has games left with Columbia and Shelbyville and Coffee has games with Franklin Co and Columbia. Franklin Co is hot right now having won at Lawrenceburg last week and sweeping Columbia this week. Tullahoma lost a non district game tonite against Marion Co 6-4. Shelbyville showed tonite that you can't look past the Golden Eagles. Tullahoma proved last week that they can't be taken lightly after scoring 5 runs in the 7th to beat Columbia. The regular season title, which includes a first round bye in the district tourney, probably will go down to the last day of the season. tennesseelofton
I think this year they are goin back to the old tourney ways of having a play-in game. This means the #1 and #2 seeds would get a 1st round bye.

Hats off to Lawrenceburg, for one game last night they were the best looking team in the district that we have faced here at Lincoln County. They smacked it around. I still like our chances due to the simple fact that we only have to play two more district games. Everyone is beating up on each other and it is survival of the fittest. The tournament is shaping up to be awesome! The two teams that come out of there will truly be survivors!
