What's yall's opinion on mcewen basketball....good, bad......

Until the next Puckett arrives, times will be tough. How confident are the McEwen faithful that coach can get it done? I know many people questioned if he ever made Puckett better.

I think you have a good dedicated coach. Besides, Puckett was good, but not that good. If he was as great as his dad thought, he would have been in North Carolina. But I can't fault his dad. Every dad thinks their kid is the greatest. But I saw a guy who hardly played on a local high school team at another school eat Puckett's lunch his senior year in a basketball pick up game.

McEwen is well coached and they play extremely hard. After that, it is a crap shoot as to win they will have a talented team. The county's talent is down as a whole if you also look at Waverly as well. It takes more than one or two good players to be successful in basketball. It also takes sometimes less talented players accepting their role with a team. Talent comes in cycles at every school. It is just a matter getting the right group of kids together.

I watched McEwen come back and beat an average Jo Byrns team last week , then get creamed by a talented WH Heritage team the following game, that night I saw a coach let his team get out of control by letting/allowing them to foul and play to take players out. It was an Atrocious game of basketball to witness. I was embarrassed for McEwen. That is not the way to play.

 

So my opinion (bad) sorry.

I agree with that statement. McEwen has always been dirty and so have there fans. East Lit and McEwen are the classless teams in the district. More East Lits fans, girls team, and cheer leaders not so much their guys team.

OK, you asked....

In my opinion, McEwens team is not so good this year. I have seen them play three times and when they get behind in the score they start to play dirty. I think that the coach encourages this, as I have seen him say "good Job" when a player commits a hard foul on another player. You asked for my opinion and it is that they are a dirty playing team. Sorry.
