Culleoka has a lot riding on the games at region. If they can manage to win out at region and then win a game they get to host at sub state, they can avoid the tougher teams like Temple and Union City at state. Cully needs the fans to be there for the support. I say we cheer them all the way to their first state appearance!

And yes...I am a Cully fan.

Cully is not as strong as people may want to believe. They have people step up at key times yes but if you take a closer look they depend on their one "#1" player and that D. Williams. Shut him down and lets see how the rest of the team reacts. I don't think they could fucntion very well with him on the bench for even a quarter much less if he fouled out of a game. Any of these teams put a player with outstanding defense on him he will get ran down because he gets tired quickly. Make him get the rest of the team involved. This team is beatable! Study their tapes any of these teams are capable of doing so!

Cully is as strong as they want to be. If anyone in the region beats them it will be because Cully beat themselves. I don't know anyone that can shut Williams down. There wasn't anyone in D11 and I don't see anyone in D12 either. As far as the rest of the team goes, they have gotten support lately from C.J and the other guard ( sorry can't remember name.) The big man just needs to focus on rebounds and they will do fine. I just don't understand why so many people are on this Williams kid. He is a great ballplayer on a very good ballteam. Get over it....

I'm not a Cully fan either...I'm a basketball fan...

    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
    • It will be hard opening up a restaurant and coaching a High School Football team at the same time but he did take this job as an interm coach to stop the bleed. The program is in scorched earth mode right now and could drop down to the likes of Scott County, Campbell County and Karns if they lose most of their kids out of this.
