Ridgeway 55 Fairley 53 ( Ridgeway won by 2 or 3 pts... not sure which, exactly)

Anyway, Raleigh Egypt & Craigmont are bona fide State Title Contenders; I'm not so sure about Ridgeway!

Ridgeway has good size but they just don't shoot the ball very well, at all! After seeing them in action, 3 or 4 times this season, I'm not surprised that they got rocked by Liberty. I am very SHOCKED that managed to beat Raleigh Egypt, however!

Don't get me wrong, I like Ridgeway. In fact, I'm a bit partial towards Ridgeway. I just don't see them going very deep into the playoffs, though....If an opponent can play a tough zone and force Ridgeway into a fast paced game and/or shoot the ball from the outside, then Ridgeway will struggle mightly. Their outside shooting is just horrible, so much so that one (me, anyway) is surprised anytime their outside shots go in. Seriously. Heck, they struggle just making wide open, uncontested jumpers! Ridgeway is clearly a team whose success depends heavily on a slower paced game, featuring 2 or 3 foot shot-attempts.

I admit, Ridgeway manages to dictate the pace of its game very well. Its quite apparent that Ridgeway's coach (Henning) KNOWS his squad's strengths and weaknesses, and does a great job of getting his players to play towards the successful end of those parameters.

At the end of the day, however, Ridgeway's quality coaching just might be the wild card that propels them from "pretender" status, to State Title "contender" status, along with RE and Craigmont.

QUOTE(watcher16 @ Feb 25 2007 - 10:22 PM) 826389450[/snapback]clarksville high has a very good chance of going and making a run.. they will walk through the region with no trouble.

Not sure Clarksville will walk through the region..They've obviously had a tough road to the championship. Anytime you can beat a Gallatin, Lavergne, and most likely Mt Juliet to win region then have to turn around and host Whites Creek, Franklin, Antioch, or McGavock thats tough. Then to top that off the winner of the substate game gets a Memphis team first round of state if I'm not mistaken. So Clarksville will have a tough road to travel.

    • Great to meet you too.  We're going to work hard to get back.
    • I extend my gratitude to ManCoverage for initiating this discussion thread tailored to the residents of Trousdale County. In times of adversity within our football team, it is imperative to have an outlet for expression, and what better platform than CoachT's Craigslist forum? I respectfully request that GOAT exercise discretion in his commentary, as his remarks have caused me personal distress.
    • I am inclined to wager a substantial portion of my financial assets on the likelihood that Waggoner shall transition to an alternative coaching vocation prior to the year 2028. It is my contention that discerning individuals are beginning to perceive his coaching prowess as lacking in the requisite excellence. Allow me to articulate the following assertion: Waggoner represents a markedly superior choice compared to the individual who perpetrated the act of fuel theft.   This individual exhibits a conspicuous propensity for frequent professional transitions, a trait which undermines his credibility and renders him an untenable choice for serious consideration. It is indeed confounding that his candidacy continues to garner attention and support.
    • Yeah same   It’s definitely true that tough times make tough kids, but some kids just have a big passion for the game and will become the best of the best no matter where they come from.
    • Hope you enjoy it King and good to meet you at state this year. Good luck to the Lady Landers. Keep battling.
