QUOTE(yankees @ Mar 12 2007 - 01:47 PM) 826409221If there going to do it they better beat them today. They have several starters out and another just got back from a injury a week ago.

Good wins for Karns and Halls. How many Powell players are on the basketball team? I know Hargis is still playing basketball.

My thoughts are Karns, Halls, Powell & West are the teams that will stand out this year. If Halls & Karns sweep with the wednesday game they will put themselves in the drivers seat to meet next week. Should be one of the big matchups this season.

Karns will beat Powell at Powell but a lot closer this time.

Halls should win if they cut down on the errors at home. Pitching looked a little erratic in the first game which was a big surprise.

Halls wins tonight 7-3 over West. Spencer Fielden goes the distance with a great quality start.

Defense plays great. Noe makes a spectacular play at first in full stretch going toward second base what a snag. David White in right field makes a great diving catch on a ball curving away from him. Daniel Dayton guns down a West pinch runner going from second to third with a great tag by Quentin Bowman.

On offense the Bats were lively again Tyler Brock,Quentin Bowman and Mitchell Davis each record doubles and Daniel Dayton had a triple. Up and down the lineup it seemed everyone had a least one hit.

Great start for the Red Devils now onto Karns in a huge matchup next week.

Agreed West is no slouch. Full of good bats and will be in the race at the end. Halls seems to be in mid season form already. If Halls has a problem its early season shakiness in the field and learning to play together, get that ironed out and I see this team developing faster that most imagined.

The big test will be Karns with all there returning starters they seem to be the team with the most experience in this District.

QUOTE(JohnDoe @ Mar 14 2007 - 06:54 PM) 826411977who pitched for both teams?

oak ridge swept central. not sure on the score.

for powell. Brad Pressley pitched the first 5 innings, Andrew green came in and finished it out for the panthers. the ump was squeezing green , the only pitch for a strike was meat.

for karns, im not sure who pitched first. russel,a lefty, # 14 or 15 came in in the 6th to finish it up for the beavers.
