Clarksville-Northeast

Northeast will look to run, and take adavantages of all run out opportunities.

Senior Dawn Evans (Sr-committed to James Madison University) will run the point, loves to drive to the basket, but is able to hit the jumper, probably the best shooter on the team.

On the inside, the size advantage will be the biggest strength during this tournament run. Kamiko Williams (Soph - great story about her, this is her first year of organized basketball, family is military, now back in the states), Makia "Mookie" Jackson, they play well with their back to the basket, and are committed to rebounding and second chance points.

Flippen and Bruno come off the bench, and give you quality mins. at the post, and that depth has worn teams down through the year.

I am doing the radio coverage for Northeast for 540-AM out of Clarksville, so if you need anything else, please, feel free. I would also like to get some Greenville info in return.

Greeneville's trapping D had been effective at slowing down the pace of most of their games this season. 6' sophomore Nicole Dickson has around 1100 career points so far including 30 against Powell on Sat. IMAC Player of the Year, Ashley Deans has been a beast inside and crashes the boards like a 6-footer. Great performance off the bench from 6'1" junior Rachel Collins who did a good job defending,Powell's D-1 signee and scored the regional game-winner. Senior point Whitney Carter has been practically flawless in post-season play, with stand-out performances in regionals and sub-state.

Size hasn't really been a problem for Greeneville this season. They have faced some teams with serious inside presence...beating Division II state champions Knox-Webb and taking Cleveland to 2 OT's in a disappointing loss. Should be quite a good game.
